We spent 5 nights here at 'Camel City' and despite the rather odd name we had a great time here!! The rooms are clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast is very good (in Asian standards) and the staff in the hotel are very helpful!!

As a young couple we wanted somewhere that gave us our own space but had a lively atmosphere to enjoy the Hanoi nightlife... this was perfect!! Hanoi Backpackers is less than a minute away so you get easily get involved in the back packer scene as well

I stayed here for only one night, since I'm going to stay my friend place forvthe rest of my trip :)
However they are so nice to me, they also remembered my name :)
The room is clean and the hotel is located in the alley, so it's peacefull but right in the center.
They gave me many information about Hanoi and I booked the Halong Bay tour from them for a good price. cheaper than youvbooked directly from the agent or cruise

The hotel is located right in the middle of the old quarter, but in a small quite street.
The crew is very friendly, helpful and speaks reasonbly good english.
Prices for double rooms are around 17-20 US$ (2013)
There is no lift, and rooms up to the 6th floor...

Room Tip: Better do not take a room without a window.

Very well located in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast basic but nice. Rooms range from very basic to good but for $20USD you can't complain at all. The only thing to be aware of is that there is not elevator and there are very steep stairs.

Room Tip: The cheaper rooms are very basic

Stayed for about five days. Very clean and tidy. Excellent staff - very helpful and friendly. Helped out with a whole range of issues, from sorting my iPhone, through to arranging excursions, e.g. Halong Bay, Sapa, etc; and stays elsewhere, plus, flights - just terrific service!!!

When we come back to Ha Noi, this is where we will be staying - THE PLACE TO STAY!!!

Garry.

Room Tip: All the rooms here were quiet - which is hard to get.

Very friendly and extremely helpful staff with excellent service. We stayed there for 4 nights and got to experience a wide range of activities from local cuisine to western food restaurants and authentic street food (all right out of the doorstep), walking along the Hoan Kiem Lake (big lake in city centre) to night market shopping (could find almost everything there). Loved the walk around places nearby; good exercise after indulging in the local food and a chance for a closer look into the local people' s daily life. We also booked the Water Puppet Show (a must-see) which was walking distance from the hotel, Ha Long bay trip (another must-have if it's good weather) and travelling tickets through the hotel. We felt really welcome, comfortable and the room as well as the service is a great value for the price you pay.
