Nice Hotel with friendly helpful staff.

We spent a total of 5 nights at this hotel, 4 on our first visit and 1 after our return from Halong Bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and they have a good understanding of the English language (something many hotels we stayed in did not have). The staff booked our day trips for us, getting some good deals along the way. They also looked after our luggage while we went to Halong Bay for 2 days.

The rooms were a bit on the small side but on our 2nd visit they upgraded us for free. We had all our breakfasts here and they were great. We also had 2 dinners and these were also very good. The rooftop bar has great city views but the pool is a bit on the small size. Not the best location but the staff were happy to organise taxis and the cost was minimal.

Overall we were very happy with this hotel and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a separate shower and not above the bath.

A good Premium Economy Hotel

The hotel is a taxi ride away from the French Quarter and Old Quarter. Its a small "modern" hotel. The room I occupied was modern and clean with a small modern and well equipped bathroom but totally devoid of any local flavor. If you are looking for that, this is not the place. But if you want a small comfortable room with the key utilities including free wifi, this is good enough for a short stay. I would describe it as premium economy rather than tourist or business class

Watch out for the thin walls - you can hear the neighbor next door clearly!

Breakfast is basic buffet. Extras including Vietnamese coffee is good but is an extra charge! The Vietnamese beef noodle soup is recommended at breakfast

Overall service is average

Very Nice Hotel

We spent three nights in this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean.The first room they put us in smelt like cigarette smoke the staff were happy to move us when we complained.Breakfast was great with heaps of choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. You will need to get a taxi if you want to visit the Old Quarter as it is not walking distance. There are some resturants near by that are walking distance if you ask the staff at reception they are happy to give directions.Overall a pleasant stay.

A good location for exploring

ROOMS were on the small side but are clean and compact, bathrooms have a really big American shower which is always welcome after a long trip.
Staff as expected were always helpful and friendly and could do enough to make your stay ENJOYABLE.
We went off to Sapa halfway through are stay, but we left most of our luggage at the hotel, locked up and secure, when we returned at 6.30am several days later we were shone straight to our room with our luggage brought back up from storage within minutes, that's what you call service.
We had a really goog breakfast in with the room price which sets you up for all the walking, which in my opinion is the only way to see Hanoi.
Other reviews mention the area is a bit rundown, but this is only the odd street and remember we are in north Vietnam, and at no time did we feel unsafe, after all it adds to the buzz of where you are.

Good hotel but lacking atmosphere

We stayed at this hotel after travelling for 2 weeks in Vietnam. The rooms, swimming pool etc are OK however the place lacks the atmosphere and charme of other hotels. A make over of the lobby or some plants etc around the roof-top swimming pool would fix this easily. The staff was very nice and helpful and breakfast very good. With some more attention to detail this would be a very nice place.

Great spot, great service
