Description: SPECIAL: To celebrate the coming festive season, on 24-25 Dec and 31 Dec - 1 Jan 2017, we are going to serve the Special Set menus only. We shall send you a copy of the set menus by email per reservation request. Please kindly send your request to our official email address on this website. The Gourmet Corner restaurant located on the top floor of Hanoi La Siesta Diamond hotel, which boast the finest view of Hanoi from the 12th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the Red River and the ever-growing skyline of Hanoi. The Gourmet Corner food menu is the combination of Vietnamese and some Western favorites. Our Vietnamese food options mostly are the dishes from the North. In northern Vietnam, a colder climate limits the production and availability of spices. As a result, the foods are often less spicy than those in other regions, especially the middle part of Vietnam. Black pepper is used in place of chili as the most popular ingredient to produce spicy flavors. Also, coriander is used commonly in most dishes. In general, northern Vietnamese cuisine is not bold in any particular taste - sweet, salty, spicy, bitter, or sour. Most northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that result from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients. PS: Please be informed that your reservation request by email will be answered within 24 working hours or later depend on our work-load at that moment. Any urgent booking request should be made through the phone call. We are sorry for any inconvenience may cause.

even though we were staying at the hotel, we feel this would of been a restaurant we would of eaten at had we been staying in Hanoi. the staff are all great and the food delicious. from a chef point of view is get scared when i see 100s of items on a menu from a small kitchen. these guys had a good balance. Thanks

We tried Gourmet Corner after reviewing Tripadvisor; and glad we did. Well located & atop The Elegance Diamond Hotel this restaurant is seriously worth a visit. Starting with cocktails on the outside deck at sunset & then moving into the compact but beautifully appointed restaurant; is the way to go. The food & service simply can't be faulted. We were so impressed that the night before we departed Hanoi we went back again; it was just as good second time around. Apart from loving the wonderful food we were also very fortunate to be attend by Tho (Sabrina) on both occasions. A wealth of knowledge not only about the Gourmet Restaurant & her trade; but Tho also proved to be very knowledgably about all thing Hanoi & Vietnam. Many thanks Tho for your history & cultural lesson. There is absolutely no doubt when next in Hanoi this will be one of the first stops on our journey. Thanks to all at The Gourmet Corner Hanoi.

Great food. Great service. Great view. Must visit if in Hanoi.
We were after a good meal for lunch - and we were not disappointed. The staff were lovely and even told us the recipe to their special fish sauce!!

This penthouse restaurant does have a nice view of the Hanoi. But it is the food and the service that was truly excellent.

We dined at around 6 pm and we were able to enjoy the sunset. The set meal which consists of a starter (spring rolls and salad), a main dish (we had beef cooked in bamboo), and dessert (local ice cream) was well worth its price (USD 20). The set meal can be shared by two people with average appetites. :)

We ate at The Gourmet Corner Restaurant twice during our stay in Hanoi. The staff, food and atmosphere is absolutely amazing! One of the best restaurants we ate at during our stay. The caesar salad under the vegetarian menu was a bit bland, however this was because it was just a normal caesar salad with the meat taken out (however my next meal made up for this two fold). The vietnamese food is to die for, especially the spring rolls, the noodle salad and according to my partner, the bamboo beef. We had a wonderful chat with the waitress, who was very accommodating and pleased to chat about Vietnam. Overall it is highly recommended.
