Description: Located on the top floor of Hanoi La Siesta Diamond hotel, the Gourmet Corner restaurant boast the finest view of Hanoi from the 12th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the Red River and the ever-growing skyline of Hanoi. The Gourmet Corner food menu is the combination of Vietnamese and some Western favorites. Our Vietnamese food options mostly are the dishes from the North. In northern Vietnam, a colder climate limits the production and availability of spices. As a result, the foods are often less spicy than those in other regions, especially the middle part of Vietnam. Black pepper is used in place of chili as the most popular ingredient to produce spicy flavors. Also, coriander is used commonly in most dishes. In general, northern Vietnamese cuisine is not bold in any particular taste - sweet, salty, spicy, bitter, or sour. Most northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that result from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients. PS: Please be informed that your reservation request by email will be answered within 24 working hours or later depend on our work-load at that moment. Any urgent booking request should be made through the phone call. We are sorry for any inconvenience may cause.

“Excellent food, service and atmosphere”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

Our stay at the HE Diamond was one of the best we've had anywhere and the breakfast included was the best of any hotel during our 3 week holiday around Vietnam and Cambodia. The variety of food available, freshness and taste was excellent and we always ended up eating too much because it was too good to resist! We had dinner at the Gourmet Corner on our last night in Hanoi to escape the noise and traffic and found it was fantastic - much better than the other, more expensive, recommended restaurants we had tried earlier, so we wished we had eaten there more often. Sitting on the outdoor terrace surrounded by fairy lights, with great food and sensational service was one of the highlights of our stay in Hanoi.

“Beautiful views and attentive service”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

Couldn't fault this place for the view or the service staff. The food was nice but not full of flavour like the street food.
We dined here on our last night as we had all had some upset stomachs so the food was safe and filling. The wine was a little expensive but a good drop none the less.

The view was pretty but the whole experience was a little stuffy when you spend all day on the street.

“Breakfast”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

WE stayed at the HE-Diamond in Hanoi and breakfast was included. The breakfast buffet was amazing and you have a view of Hanoi. What a treat! The wait staff are so helpful and are always happy to bring over more coffee!

“Super view, super food & excellent service”
Reviewed November 10, 2012

What looked like an expensive fine dining restaurant at first sight on second sight turns out to be a fine dining restaurant - only not expensive. The wines fare at 4 USD per glas, the man dishes between 7 and 12 USD. And all of this with magnificent views as well of the old quarter of Hanoi and of the red river. Attached to the restaurant is a nice open-air rooftop bar for drinks.

Don't miss it.

“Relaxing and Enjoyable Time”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

Two of us went to The Gourmet Corner for lunch, after a tiring walk around the Old Quarter, and had a very relaxing time there, with delicious lunch. I had the vegetarian set and the lasagne was so well prepared. On the 12th flr, the view is extensive, the place is comfortable,
cozy, very clean and well furnished. Service was excellent, attentive and caring. All the staff were cheerful, it brightened us up especially after a tiring walk. We had a relaxing and enjoyable time there and at a leisurely pace. Would have liked to have dinner there and see the night view but couldn't make it. Prices were very reasonable
I had made a remark on the air-con, and it was so nice of the manager to respond with an
apology very soon afterwards.
