“Fancy dinner in the mist of the hustle and bustle of Hanoi!”
Reviewed February 17, 2014 via mobile

Nice upscale restaurant in old town, Hanoi. Very nicely furnished but to us, it felt nearly to European. Very nice and attentive staff. We had the crispy salmon and mashed potatoes with vegetables, amazingly beautiful! Would pass for any upscale Michelin restaurant! We also had Thai green curry prawns, and this dish was merely okey. We would recommend Green Mango, if you fell like an escape from street food and noise of the big city!

“Pricy but Good - for the Acquired Taste”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

This place is fine. good food, nice staff, and some funky events once and a while... However, it is also what it is. for the fine dining or pretentious expatriates, it is also a place to be seen and mingle. it is definitely a classy place which aspires to a certain clientel, but that should not take anything away from the nice staff, and the excellent cooks. Compared to other places in Hanoi where you can definitely get better food, the prices are high - but as often seen you pay as well for the venue and to be seen. you will either love it or hate it, and i think you know by now who you are.

“Perfect restaurant in Hanoi's Old Quarter 10 minutes from our Boutique Hotel.”
Reviewed February 8, 2014

We are on a 44 day trip to five Indochina countries.

We had already visited Thailand and Laos. We arrived in Hanoi on the first day of Tet.

Our hotel cautioned that most places would be closed. They suggested The Green Mango. We not only ate there for the two nights we were in Hanoi, but chased down their restaurant in Hoian and ate there as well.

Exceptional food, lovely atmosphere, welcoming and attentive staff...all at a reasonable price.

We sent other travelers there and the lived it.

Wish they would consider San Miguel de Allende!

“Low light atmosphere and you'll need a hungry appetite”
Reviewed February 6, 2014 via mobile

We didn't stay at the hotel but we went to the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and was nicely presented with low lighting. The meals are abit on the expensive side for Hanoi). We bought a club sandwich, Asian noodle dish (which was absolutely beautiful), 1 coke, 1 beer and a water $25. The waitress was friendly and the music was non-offensive.

We really enjoyed our means and would definitely go back to the restaurant again.
