I stayed in this hotel for two nights it is brilliant value for money. The room and ensuite we're clean and there was hot water with very good water pressure. Breakfast was included. The staff are lovely they booked our trip to halong bay and trains south for us. And even let us leave our backpacks in the hotel after we had checked out until it was time for us to go get the train. Would definitely stay here again. Only small thing was not all the plug sockets in the room worked.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 weeks in a group of 6 people. The staff were extremely helpful in everything they did for us, as we often left the hotel at night and returned in the early hours of the morning; the staff at reception were always attentive and welcomed us back at these times. Also, they helped us to organise day trips elsewhere at very good and cheap prices, and even helped us out by booking us out of the rooms on those days which we left the hotel to attend day trips (saving us money while we were away).

The rooms are cheap, in a good location in the old quarter, a short walk away from Hoan Kiem Lake, and rooms are spacious and cleaned very regularly.

This is a very basic hotel. Very clean, well positioned for walking, staff very friendly. On the downside its quite shabby, we had two separate rooms during our stay, 1st was ok but 2nd was in need of some TLC. Wallpaper falling of walls, exposed wiring from ceiling, mouldy ceilings and no top sheet on bed, just a thin type of doona .If you have a few extra dollars to spare I would suggest a bit better hotel . Also a very steep internal stairwell. Request lower floors on booking.

This hotel was our best stay in our 2 1/2 months trip in SE Asia. The rooms were very clean and large, the bed was great, we really enjoyed staying here. The very reasonable price is well worth every penny and breakfast is included. Coffee and tea are available for free around the clock. The staff is very very friendly, they all understand and speak English, and Moon went over the moon to help us with any kind of inquiry we had. The location is great too and they have best value trips to various places. We usually do not do that, but this time we selected to do an organized trip, and we found out that we payed the lowest fare in regard to other hotels for the same trip, with the same itinerary. And we were supposed to stay only for 3 nights and finally we stayed for 5. Excellent place. Book it now, do not wait!

Room Tip: We stayed at room 402 on the 4th floor on the back side of the hotel away from the street, very quit...

Beautiful rooms, great location (walking distance to just about everything), very helpful staff, good breakfast. Stayed on the 5th floor which was a bit of a hike with no elevator, but I needed the exercise...
They booked a great halong bay tour for us as well

Stayed in Blue Sky Hotel for a few days on arrival in Hanoi. It's located on one of the main streets in the Old Quarter of Hanoi and with within 2 minute walk of street food restaurants, shops and walk in restaurants. Hanoi is pretty walkable from this location as well, the hotel is maybe within 30 minutes walk of everything you want to see, and generally 5-10 mins walk to get to the centre of the city (Hoam Keim Lake) Great welcome from staff, and there's always teas and hot coffee available (and always offered everytime you walk in the door!) Reception can also arrange trips and book train tickets - Trips to Ha Long bay are booked through 'Hanoi Fantasea adventure' which I also rate very highly.

When I booked I asked for a quieter room as the traffic noise in Hanoi is pretty overwhelming at times. So my room was 5th floor, peaceful and with a window with a view out over..well other buildings and roofs! No elevator in the hotel so make sure you can tackle up to 5 flights of steps!

Room itself was big and pretty well equipped for the price. En-suite was a good decent size and shower was good (although no shower curtain means you have to plan your shower with a bit of foresight as the water gets everywhere!) Flatscreen cable TV, Air-con and a fan for back up!, and a mini fridge. Beds were solid but comfy. Wifi connection was very good

Overall had a great stay in this hotel - great value for money!

Room Tip: Higher up is brighter and quieter!

We only stayed at Hanoi Blue Sky for one night because we randomly extended our stay in Hanoi and needed a cheap place to stay for our last night. Well, I wish I had found this place earlier! The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything a person needs including breakfast. The motel was in a good location. We were even able to book a ride to the airport through the hotel for a good price. We would definitely recommend this place.
