“Very nice tabouleh”
Reviewed June 14, 2012

Very nice restaurant with friendly english speaking staff.
What I like the most with this restaurant is their tabouleh. It´s not like other recepies but it´s very nice. So is their hummus.

“A piece of Morocco in Hanoi”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

We have eaten here several times with our moroccan friends and we have always really liked it. The food is great, authentic and copious and the prices are correct. Note that the address is wrong, its now on To Ngoc Van. It gets bit hot upstairs sometimes, so ask for an electric fan right from the beginning, particularly in summer. They also do delivery but only in Tay Ho it appears, which is a pity for those who live in another part of Hanoi. Two thumbs up for this one!

“Good Tagines”
Reviewed March 15, 2012

There aren't many North African restaurants in town, so the Marrakech is a restaurants that proposes good couscous and tagines for lunch or dinner. They are closed on Mondays (it's rare to have restaurants that close one day per week in Vietnam).

“Dreaful service”
Reviewed October 3, 2011

Dreadful service! I already had a bad experience in this place but wanted to give it another shot. Too bad, the second time was even worse than the first!
We booked for 15 persons for dinner. So this means they knew that there was going to be "Royal Couscous" ordered, the specialty of the house. Well, there was only 4...and no more semolina! It's like going to a Vietnamese restaurant and they say they are short of rice...how ridiculous is that??!
A friend ordered appetizer + main dish and asked for the appetizer to come first. The waiter came with both at the same time - not surprising in Vietnam - but laughed at my friend's face when he reminded him that he wanted appetizer before the main dish...Frankly not polite for a place where you pay that kind of price.
Beside that, the red wine is not good and overpriced. White wine was OK, but overpriced as well.
Overall food is OK, nothing exciting (by the way "Royal" couscous comes with one sausage and one piece of chicken, they'd better rename it "Kids couscous"). The salads in appetizers are good though.
If you absolutely, positively WANT to eat Marrocan, then MAYBE you should give it a try. But if you want a pleasant experience, definitely go somewhere else. There are many places in Hanoi where you can spend that kind of money (250-300K +) and really enjoy it.
