In April, my family together with family friends all stayed at Golden Land. The hotel itself is delightful: rooms are attractively decorated, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient and the price/value are excellent. Despite all these favorable attributes the thing that stands out above all is the tremendous care and attention Mr. Tung provides his guests. This level of attention and service you could only dream of in a concierge at a 5-star international hotel. Want a recommendation of a delicious pho restaurant open until the wee hours? No problem. Want tickets purchased to the water puppets? Got it covered. Need to know a great place for a massage (including one that offers complimentary cab service there and back)? Done. You get the picture. Whatever we needed/wanted in the way of information and support for our Hanoi trip, Mr. Tung handled with insight, grace and warmth. Highly, highly recommend the Golden Land!

We went on our first trip abroad with our 16 month old in April and chose the Golden land hotel because of the excellent reviews on this website. People even advised not to choose a hotel solely on website reviews but we went ahead and booked anyway. We were not disappointed and all the wonderful reviews on trip adviser were indeed true.
The Golden Land hotel was a peaceful haven in the heart of Hanoi. The rooms were lovely and clean and just like the photos on the website. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath.
The hotel provided a cot for our son and we all slept well even though there are plenty of mopeds passing on the road outside. Double glazing windows ensured we didn't hear too much of the traffic. Hanoi really is a crazy place and it was always a relief to get back to the hotel!
What really made our stay memorable was the manager of the hotel Phan thanh Tung. He would always go out of his way to keep you happy. He is such a genuine, kind person and nothing is too much trouble for him. One night, we unfortunately couldn't stay in the hotel as it was fully booked. Phan organised for us to stay in another nearby hotel however it didn't have a baby cot. He brought the cot from his hotel for us!
Overall, although we wouldn't choose Hanoi again with a 1 1/2yr old, we would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for money. Clean. Fantastic service. Last but not least - such a kind hearted guy running the hotel who we will never forget!

I picked this hotel based on reviews that the rooms were quiet & from the photos, but I was unsure about what to expect b/c all the reviews were so positive and I was concerned that some might be fake. But my husband and I were very pleased with Golden Land overall. The rooms are beautiful, the service & location are good, & the price is right.

We arranged for their airport pickup service - they use private taxi drivers apparently.

The location is great - right across from the Hanoi Garden restaurant and a fancy looking hotel called Hong Ngoc. Right down the street is a delicious Bun Cha joint. It's probably a fast 5 minute walk to the lake. If you want to explore other parts of the Old Quarter, this hotel is right in the middle of it all.

We got the family suite with a balcony b/c the other double rooms were booked. The windows were thick, but we could still hear some muted honking (be prepared for the crazy honking in this city). But our 4 month old baby was still able to sleep in her cot by the windows.

The room was big, clean, modern & new (our room really looked like the photos on the website)- nice LCD TV with lots of channels. Very comfortable. The only thing that I noticed that I kind of missed was having a hot pot in our room - but if you ask for hot water, they'll give you a flask. There also wasn't a safety deposit box in our room when we arrived. We asked for one the next day and they brought one in.

Our first morning, our breakfast was an hour late & not what we had ordered (they give you a choice of 6 items that you place an order for the day before). It wasn't very good - just 2 pieces of rather hard toast, an egg, juice & watermelon. At this point, I was wondering whether the service was going to be sub-par - no explanation had been given for the change. But later we went downstairs and mentioned it to the owner/manager, who speaks excellent English, and he explained that the receptionist (who's English seems to be limited) had been busy fixing the hot water that morning. We had 3 more breakfasts there without incident (the pho was good). Other than that, everything was great.

We were really happy with Golden Land - it felt like our home away from home. We would definitely be happy to go back there and recommend it to others.

We spent about 4 nights staying at Golden Land Hotel in Hanoi. During our stay we found the hotel to be very comfortable, clean and good value for money. The hotel is well located in the CBD and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definately recommend this hotel to people planning a trip to Hanoi and we would stay there again next time.

An exceptional boutique hotel with the most friendliest and helpful staff we have ever come across. With such a wonderful place to stay, we could really relax and enjoy ourselves in old Hanoi. Everything was just right for a perfect nights sleep. We look forward to going back next time. There are only 7 rooms, so if you don't want to miss out, book ahead.
