I am an expat living in Saigon and have chosen to stay at this hotel in Hanoi 3 times now. I honestly could not fault it! For 42 dollars through Agoda it is awesome!! The beds were sooooo comfy, this is rare in Vietnam! The compact hotel is clean, provides a really good break fast, great wifi and it was peaceful and hassle free. The staff were so sweet and friendly and would do anything for you. Their English was great and knew how to look after their customer. I was looking forward to getting back from our trip up North to stay here again! This hotel is fantastic!

Room tip: I stayed in 602 and 708 and both were great

Excellent hotel. The best value for money hotel I have ever stayed (and I have travelled widely). The counter staff were pretty, professional and very smart. The last one is the most important I suppose, they gave me very clever and sensible advise. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was great. It is very conveniently located. I will recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Our resort (Fusion Maia) in Da Nang booked this hotel for us when our flight arrived too late to fly down to Da Nang. This hotel made arrangements and sent a car to the airport for pickup, had a great free breakfast, and was only a short walk from old town Hanoi, which I wish I would have taken a few more days to explore. The rooms were 5 star clean. The bed, sheets, pillows, etc were soft and wonderful to sleep in. The bathroom was not as private as some might be used to so make sure you share everything with the person you are traveling with.

Room tip: Beware there are many Rising Dragon Hotels so make sure you find the Rising Dragon Palace Hotel.

I read the reviews of this hotel on trip advisory and being positively impressed I decided to book on line through the booking option available on trip advisory.
From the Rising Dragon Gran hotel review page, I clicked on Booking.com that landed me on Rising Dragon Villa Hotel booking system rather than ( Rising Dragon Grand Hotel) and I booked 1 night only (thanks God). The 2 hotels belong to the same group Rising Dragon sharing the same logo, the same room amenities and also the bill is print on Rising Dragon hotel paper. The 2 locations are very close from each other, only few hundreds meters .

First warning : you might decide to book for the Rising Dragon Grand Hotel but actually you can end it up booked in the Rising Dragon Villa.

Cost wise the 2 hotels are similar ( I paid 50 US$ for a 3 bed room ) but from my experience in the Rising Dragon Villa the accommodation can be a disaster.

Indeed the Rising Dragon Villa has only 3 floors and if your room is on the 2nd floor (equivalent to first floor in the west ) you will barely manage to sleep : the noise from the road, the noise from the outdoor cooling system unit of the others rooms and the aircon fan in your room will create a nightmare scenario for a good rest.
Once you survive to the night, the breakfast surprise is awaiting for you: the food is so bad that you want pass on it and buy a bowl of noodles in the little shop in the alley .

The good things : the rooms are clean and newly decorated and The staff is very friendly but overall not enough to change my rating on this hotel
