We stayed in this Hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi. Located in Busy (beep, bep, beep) Hang Bo. We had one of the 4 VIP rooms on the 7th floor. Great bathroom, though the lighting wasn't great. We had 2 Plasma screens, one on the wall in the bedroom area and one 10 feet away in the sitting room area, with no door between them? Staff are very helpful though it can take a while if you order a cocktail that has to be mixed. The location is ideal and we would come back to Hanoi in a heartbeat. The restaurants are great, there is one called the Green Mango 2 mins away which we compared favourably to Cafe Warisan in Bali (that may help if you have been there) at a third of the price.

Hotel has wifi and ethernet in rooms if you take your own laptop, we didn't but if you need to do anything serious online you should, the free 2 pc's are really just about able to do e-mail..

This Hotel is pretty much as their website says, I wouldn't hestitate to recommend it!
and overall Vietnam is a brilliant and great value for money destination.

This is not a bad little hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious enough. Lots of counter space in the bathroom, Walking distance to shopping and the night market. There's a little convenience store a few steps away where you can get pop, chips, etc. Also, there is this awesome bakery across the street about a block down. They sell these beautiful caramel crusted eclairs that are to die for! The breakfast buffet at this hotel is very good! A few not so great things (but not a deal breaker): They need more elevators and there is no parking allowed on the street in front of the hotel so it made pick up and drop off somewhat difficult. Also the room that we were in was kind of dark since the windows look into the hallway versus outside.

my family (3 kids) picked the hotel for a stopover (one night). From the airport it would take 45min to get there, the traffic in Hanoi is packed with motorbikes. Order a pick up from the airport in advance (some 17$). As our flight came in late and we had to leave early next morning, I'd have loved to spend less time on the road.

The hotel is situated downtown in a busy merchant area, excellent for the evening exploration. It got quite a stylish lobby area with tasteful paintings and couch area. The rooms are ok and clean.
Breakfast was ok as well.

We really liked the La Dolce Vita as it is new and very quiet in the superior rooms as the previous poster mentioned they are at the back of the hotel so you can't hear the noise of a typical Hanoi street.

We had 2 nights superior ($49 usd) and 1 night in the dulux ($55usd) to have a balcony and watch the street below. We loved both. We tried to get the VIP room ($70 usd) on the 6th floor but it was fully booked for our duration of stay. I was dissapointed as it looked really great, spa, huge bunch of flowers and fruit, plus canopy bed.

There was a lot of people staying here on our visit. We walked in off the street and were lucky to get the superior room. All the balcony rooms were fully booked so if you are looking to stay here I would advise pre-booking as it's getting busier everyday.
The staff are friendly and try to help as much as possible the desk manager has reasonable English and the Cocktail Bar lady has great English, I enjoyed sitting at the bar talking with her about her life in Hanoi on our first evening.

Breakfast was reasonable, eggs cooked while you wait, a selection of asian dishes, yohgart and fruit plus juice coffee toast. Bacon and ham. All they need is some piped music to set the scene. I will write to them and suggest this.

Near the hotel.. 3 doors down a Mini Mart. 6 doors down Dry Cleaner/Laundry opposite the Hotel 6 doors down a lovely Cafe for dinner serving the best calamari in town. 8 doors down a massage place plus tour booking office. A busy street but we loved the convenience of everything being so close. We will stay again with no hesitation on our next visit to Hanoi. Excellent for the money we spent!

This hotel just opened in June 2009 and I guess we were one of the 1st clients there.

The hotel is centrally located in the old quarter and 5 min. on foot to the lake, in the middle between shops, bars, restaurants etc.
Despite being in a lively area you enjoy quiet nights in the room because they're situated in the back of the building (typical houses are build in depth and not width as we do in Europe/ USA).

The hotel is decorated in a nice boutique minimalist style with typical Vietnamese/ Asian details and decorations.

The room was big enough for the 2 of us (guess approx. 20 sqm): nice big bed with good mattress and pillows, bedside table & lamps, beautiful wooden floor, desk with lamp, TV and coffee & tea facility. Chair and small saloon table, beautiful wooden bench on which to put suitcase on (hope this will, in time not get too badly damaged due to usage).

Bathroom is small but has all: bathtub with shower, wc and bassin. Toiletries provided (toothbrush, shaving kit, ...) and nice clean towels. Tiles on floor and walls.
Rooms are built around a closed sort of patio which lets light flow in but no terrace or balcony.
Free internet in the room (cable provided).

Welcome drink and fruit in room upon arrival which I always find a nice way of saying 'welcome'.

Breakfast area is nicely done but personally find the room a bit bare.
Buffet breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, asian breakfast, yoghurt, fresh fruit of the season, (fresh sugary) juice, some meat and cheeses.
Any kind of egg is cooked upon request. Staff very very friendly and helpful but do not speak English very well.

Receptionist was a very friendly young lady who spoke English well and who daily asked us if everything was as we wished and if we had any comments.
The lounge bar is well stocked with spirits but no clients (yet).

Please note that this is a very new hotel and the owner and staff are eager to please and listen to your comments, should you have any, so instead of complaining after your stay
I suggest you inform the receptionist about any items that may be improved.
That is what we did and we hope this little hotel will grow into a succesful business and that they maintain their service and standard.
