Description: Elegant design with high-ceiling Hue Imperial style dinning rooms, Club De L'Oriental is a part of a veritable empire of mostly upscale authentic Vietnamese restaurants. The restaurant is sectioned into several dinning rooms with distinctive features -decidedly romantic and luxurious for intimate dinning for two, or business parties, or big group's celebrations. The charming courtyard and upper balcony sections are ideally preferred on hot Vietnamese summer evenings.

Excellent quality food, everything is fresh. Try the banana blossom salad, fresh spring rolls, and chicken with lemongrass. This will not disappoint.

We came in search of good vietnamese food and we were not disappointed. Had a nice wine list and pleasant staff. We were the last table of the night so it made the experience a bit more intimate. Ordering a variety of plates to share allowed everyone to taste many different dishes. All the different meals that we shared were delicious including the ice cream that ended the night. Wow!

Great food at a very reasonable price with a huge wine selection. Ask the manager, who always stops by your table to chat, for a tour of the wine cellar. Its an easy and safe walk from the Sofitel Metropole in Hanoi. Highly recommend.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant but not sure why. It was difficult to find and when we did reach it we were underwhelmed by the dark decor and ambiance. It also felt cold temperature wise. Not many customers either, although it was mid week. Our food was fine but overpriced - and as others have said it seemed a bit bland taste wise. Also, my main meal arrived about 5 minutes after my husband's with no decent explanation - I don't expect that in a restaurant that is trying to give the impresion of being up market and where the kitchen was definitely not under pressure. The wine prices were crazy and whilst I appreciate that Vietnam is not a wine country we visited other places where the prices (and quality of house wine) were much better. We ate our meal and left quickly as frankly there was nothing to keep us hanging around.
