There is a reason why this quiet, little unassuming hotel is ranked no.1 on TripAdvisor despite being a "budget" hotel. The service is IMPECCABLE. They completely bend over backwards for you and the rooms are presented so beautifully and are cozy homes away from home. Even breakfast is made to order. The way the staff met us at the start of our stay and the way they sent us off was brilliant. Highly recommend this place in the old heart of Hanoi.

The friendliest and best service we experienced in Vietnam. For a 2 star hotel we were really impressed. The staff were very helpful and helped us organise our tour to Ha Long bay. We ended up staying another night after our tour and we're upgraded to a better room. Highly recommended to young couples who like to be amongst the action. Close to many restaurants and shopping areas. No need to taxi as there are many museums and attractions within walking distance.

This hotel was great, just read the other positive reviews. Staff was genuinely kind and helpful. We stayed in the larger room on the top floor, junior suite I think. Made what ever we wanted on the included breakfast menu. Visited the spa at the Diamond sister hotel and it was also great. Met another lady at another sister hotel and she had great things to say too. Note to management: Super incredible job on training your staff, but most of all hiring the best trainable employees. Your employees could work anywhere!!!

After our Sapa trip (including night train), we wanted a nice place to stay and rest. We just walked in there and ask if they could help us out. We would arrive back from Sapa around 6 in the morning and we wanted an hotel who could help us out for an early check in. They immediately showed us some rooms, gave us the price, and were super friendly and helpfull. The rooms are super: clean, quiet, nice bathroom... The staff is amazing. So friendly and helpful. We've never had staff this friendly during our 4 week lasting Vietnam travels. The breakfast is amazing and SOO good. All in all, this is a great hotel.

The Ruby Elegance in the Old Quater in Hanoi was our little slice of Heaven ! Our family of 5 comfortably shared a family room ( king , queen and comfy fold out ) for several nights . The staff were faultless , the room spotless and comfortable ( even quite soft beds which were a little hard to find in Vietnam ) , the breakfast choice was great ( we had Pho every morning and it was the best we had in Vietnam ) and the location was right in the middle of the action - but down a little alley making it quite and intimate. Being a boutique hotel there were only a small number of rooms allowing the staff to be attentive and familiar. We felt so welcome and would most definately stay again. We had friends who stayed at another Elegance in Hanoi ( Elite ) and enjoyed their experience too .

This is a very special hotel. We used it as a base for exploration of Hanoi and northern and central Vietnam returning on three separate occasions in a three week period. The staff are fantastic, the place is small, comfortable and friendly. The location is great too in the old quarter on a relatively quiet laneway that's a fresh food market by day. Best hotel we stayed at in Vietnam.

The elegance of the atmosphere inside the hotel is a contrast to the environment. The good thing is, it's like getting the best of both worlds. There are different eateries just outside of the hotel if you would like to have an authentic and local Viet food. My friend and I backpacked through Hanoi and got ourselves great service when we get back from rummaging the city. We throw ourselves out to the streets and really get to know the locals and the culture, then we get rewarded for doing so with the excellent treatment of the hotel staff. It was a great stay in this hotel, absolutely worth the money. It's best for backpackers and those who would like to experience real Hanoi without being a distant tourist.
