Wow I was a bit suspect about tapas in Hanoi but this place was tasty! We had a range of tapas including the calamari, chorizo, potatoes bravas, meatballs and ribs and it was all spectacular! Tasty sangria but not the best I have ever had but that could just be personal taste.

“great little tapa's”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Really enjoyed the eclectic feel of this place and the tapaps were amazing. not the cheapest place but comparing with what you pay in Singapore for the same service this was excellent value for money for tourists

“Good tapas and atmosphere. Service so so...”
Reviewed December 6, 2012 via mobile

- the tapas were good (except the plate of jamon which was a bit disappointing)
- the wine was quite good too (had the malbec)
- nice atmosphere and cosy place

- the service wasn't super good. We had to wait a long time before being served. The owner was sitting at the bar and didn't seem to care much that we were waiting for his waiters to give us some attention
- a bit pricey. Obviously you expect to pay more than for a Vietnamese meal on Hanoi but fair value is probably slightly cheaper than what we paid.

Overall I had a good time though, and enjoyed the food. I will go back.

“Madrid comes to Hanoi : good sangria and great fun.”
Reviewed December 2, 2012 via mobile

As a western tourist I must confess to occasionally wanting to eat food from back home. It's a guilty pleasure of sorts and one that almost always dissapoints as the locals strangely enough rarely know how to cook western dishes that are quite like how we get it back home.

Chancing upon this place and the potential for sangria I went in expecting disappointment but can say that I was really impressed. The sangria was great, patatas Bravas a staple of any tapas bar very good indeed and the braised meatballs nothing short of outstanding. Crispy calamari also authentic. Credit may go to the Koto alumni that work there, or perhaps to just attention to detail and excellent service. All in all, when you need a break from the awesome Vietnamese cuisine in Hanoi I can certainly recommend La Salsa!

“worst service in vietnam!”
Reviewed November 27, 2012

we fancied a change from pho bo so decided to splash out and try this restaurant as it looked so lovely. We had a lovely view of the cathedral from the 2nd floor balcony HOWEVER our waiter soon disappeared (when he wasnt totally absorbed in his phone and studiously ignoring our piled up dirty plates)and we had to keep walking up and downstairs to order more food and drinks. we had tapas and the food was nice, but very small portions (even for tapas!!) especially for the price!
