This was our third visit to this hotel and without doubt the standards had not dropped. In fact I think had actually improved. Would recommend it to all. The staff are friendly with nothing a problem. They book all your tours and tranafers at a better rate. Breakfast although simple but adequate.Enjoy the experience.

I just returned from my first trip to Hanoi. It was a vacation trip with my wife and two teenage daughters. Because it was our first trip there and we didn't know what to expect, we were a little hesitant about where to stay. We initially thought about staying at one of the larger hotel chains, but when looking at a map of where we wanted to be (the Old Quarter) and considering that we wanted an "authentic" Hanoi experience, we decided to stay in a more local place. We couldn't be happier with our choice. We requested two rooms by email, and also a car and driver to pick us up at the airport. On arrival, we were offered an upgrade to a suite (cheaper than the 2 rooms), and it was perfect. We booked a trip to Halong Bay through the hotel and that went smoothly, too. The breakfast was good, and the room was nice, but what made this hotel excellent in my book was the staff: Thuy, Kim, and Hoan. They didn't just "do their jobs" - they looked out for us. Very accomodating, professional, and friendly. Truly made us feel so comfortable. The only negative to this great place is the beds - they are very hard! But, in our entire trip, every place we stayed was similar. But the price, the location, and the very friendly staff more than made up for firmness of the mattress. If I ever go back to Hanoi - and I certainly hope I do - I will go to this hotel again.

Our daughter stayed at this hotel last January and highly recommended this hotel to us. Boy was she right. This hotel has it all, its a one stop shop. Once you have made a booking here the staff ensure your holiday is memorable and hassle free and it all happens with the greatest of ease. There are 2 lovely ladies at reception called Ms Thuy (AM and PM) and they are absolutely the most organised and professional staff I have met in my travels. The hotel service they offer between your stay at the hotel and tours you book through them is faultless. When we booked our tour to Sapa the young man from the hotel drove beside our taxi, met us at the station and saw us to our cabin - not a stressful moment. The same with our tour to Halong Bay. The rooms are lovely and when you come back from tours you are offered refreshments and a room to shower and re organise yourself. I ve never been offered anything like this before without a fee. Great location, great food, value for money, and informative pleasant and helpful staff. Can t wait to come back. Thanks to everyone at the Hanoi Old Centre for organising our wonderful stay in Hanoi, especially both Thuy am and Thuy pm.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights when we were recently in Hanoi. The hotel is very well positioned, right in the heart of all the action. The rooms are large, very clean and well maintained and very quiet considering its position. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. We had never been to Hanoi before so the staff gave us some great recommendations on what to do and also even how much to expect to pay for taxi's. Breakfast was ordered off a menu. The menu had a good selection on offer: eggs, pancakes, pho and great Vietnamese coffee. The hotel also provided fresh fruit and cold drinks throughout the day which was always welcomed after the heat of the Vietnamese sun!! My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Hanoi Old Centre Hotel and highly recommend it to other travelers.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for four nights and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The staff (particular Thuy) very helpful and helped us to plan our tours and trips. When we landed in Hanoi there was a van waiting for us and once we had arrived at the hotel we were able to help ourselves to some fresh fruit, juices and tea or coffee. The rooms were great and were amazing value for money. The free snacks in the room was a nice touch. And when we woke up in the morning there was a delicious complementary breakfast downstairs. When we had to go on the overnight train to Da Nang they happily arranged a taxi for us and a member of their staff scootered by our taxi and helped take our luggage on to the train! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone!

We loved our stay at Hanoi Old Centre Hotel. The hotel is well located, clean, and the street comparatively quite. Thuy and the other staff were exceptional and nothing was too much trouble for them.
Because we had never been to Hanoi before, it was fantastic getting advice and having all our bookings arranged. Everything was taken care of, with some pleasant surprises thrown in too.
On one day, we were asked if we would mind switching hotels for a night as they needed access to our room due to an unforseen problem. We were taxied to a sister hotel and put up in a large honeymoon suite with balcony!
Thuy arranged our Halong Bay cruise, Golden Bell tickets, airport transfers, and the Orchid cooking class (chef even met us at the hotel with taxi).
We would like to thank Thuy and all the other staff at the hotel for helping us have a memorable holiday.

We stayed ( group of 8) at his lovely Boutique hotel for 6 nights of our 9 day trip to Northern Vietnam. The Staff especially Thuy, was excellent at all levels, they helped us with our tour bookings, restaurant bookings and local transportation needs. The hotel Bus picked us up on time at the airport and upon arrival while we waited for our rooms to become available (we arrived at 9am) we were given a free breakfast. The rooms were nice in size and had all the amenities anyone might need. Each day we had a nice breakfast in the hotel lobby and it was always wonderful. The tours were managed very professionally and could not have been better. Thuy is the best, any questions and she has the answers, One day I asked here about a particular restaurant and expecting just a comment I was surprised when she reached under the counter and handed me to restaurants menu. We will definitely stay here again!
