On a positive note this was quirky/interesting place and the staff were great and very helpful which is why I have given it the points I have. The pho breakfast was delicious (but the only option we had) and was served early for us to catch our flight. However the accomadation was very disappointing, the beds uncomfortable and very open to the elements, despite mosquito nets fitted at our request we all got eaten alive and were woken up throughout the night by cockerels and mewing cats. It was officially our worst night sleep throughout our 16 day vacation and we have stayed in some basic accomadation. I thought it was very overpriced for what it was, and had got much better accomadation for half the price in the centre of Hanoi. The location is not great, there is nothing else around so you need to get a Taxi into Hanoi, every taxi we got from Hanoi struggled to find it. We wished we had booked to stay in a more luxurious, cheaper hotel in the heart of the old quarter.
It's an experience living at the tree house and it's a great place, we loved our stay at the tree house, it's clean and for the adventurous type, different from all the city living we do, had a great time we stayed with 2 kids and they were happy too.
Excellent stay, wonderful experience. Dao An Khanh was a wonderful host. The tree house was amazing and setting astounding, very tranquil. Minh was wonderful cook, amazing Vietnamese food. Look forward to coming back.
