Did look fairly authentic, although a bit commercial. The ride was about 20 minutes and very tranquil.

A slowly shrinking world of the amazing floating fishing village of Cua Van. Ferried around in small traditional boats, while the more adventurous chose to kayak. Fascinating to see how they farm fish. A great little museum on a docking barge with excellent presentation of the past and present. Many exhibits of the ingenious methods used by the villages to catch and keep their fish.

Having lived on a sailboat [in the Eastern Caribbean] for 6 years, I was very interested in seeing this "floating village"--- of which I have seen several others in SE Asia.... This village has also been awarded TripAdvisor's "Certificate of Excellence". I found it very interesting-- and the "neighbourhood", is indeed, very scenic. While very different from what most travellers experience, it is very worthy to learn a bit about this (and other such) community--- and their "mode of life". A visit will certainly enrich one's understanding, memories and appreciation of life in this exciting and beautiful area!

I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Well, the trip is an enlighting cultural experience. I actually thought it was very sad. the boats are very small for a family to live on. The water was full of trash and we saw one man taking his bath in the river.
