The hotel had a sea front view but the hotel itself looked old and not properly maintained. The room was spacious enough yet needed more maintenance. The breakfast was just average and they certainly need to improve their quality.

I stay in Muong Thanh Grand several times but never feel happy with concierge service and lobby very untidy and noisy by Chinese guests. Breakfast is poor and you have to go out if you want to have some drinks after dinner due to the bar is not open after 22.00pm. Need a lot of training and upgrade service. Front desk staffs are very helpful but the Hotel not reach to 4* standard yet.

Room tip: Best view room are the front rooms afcing to the Amusement park and Halong Bay

Location of the hotel is in the centre of Ha Long Bay. In front of the hotel there is a boulevard and the Ha Long Park. The hotel is nice, good rooms, extensively breakfast, nice view overlooking the bay.

Nice hotel room, spacious and clean. But the morning breakfast is a nightmare, especially with sudden surge of group tours, where they literally swamped and “battle” for spread. The staff at egg station were quite rude too (and this is even before the sudden crowd).

We were on level 14.
Rooms very large rooms.
Air-conditioning works well.
Carpet had stains all through room.
Lounge chairs very dirty.
Great views from our room.
Mattress good firmness.
Wine list very expensive. Cannot buy wine by glass, only bottle.
Pool not heated, very cold.
TV very small for such large room.
Shower does not drain properly, causing shower to over flow.
Smell of smoke all through hotel.
Bad smell from massage area.
