Ha Long Bay is not to be missed while visiting Vietnam - it is stunning! It is a major tourist attraction and for good reason. Although you see more trash in the water than you would like and the water surface looks polluted in some areas it is still gorgeous. But the good news is cruise ship workers told us the Vietnamese government is working diligently to clean up the bay for future generations. The government has people on small bamboo boats collecting trash, they have started a coral nursery in an attempt to replenish the reef, and there are rumors the government will be temporarily prohibiting over night cruise ships and commercial fishing in the main area of the bay to strengthen rehabilitation efforts. ⭐️

Ha Long Bay is a beautiful natural setting of jade green waters and colorful limestone island formations...over 1,600 in all. Rental boats are plentiful and picturesque cave tours accompany many of the boat tours. Ha Long Bay is usually tranquil. It can be quite busy but November is a good time to be there.
I would be hard pressed to name a more beautiful spot in southeast Asia.

Ha Long Bay was the high point of our trip this time. The scenery is different every season. Local guide recommend the best time to travel is from Sept to Nov. The beauty scenery can let us forget any annoyance. There are no words to describe how beautiful it is. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Neither words or photos can easily explain the mysterious beauty of the bay with mystical caves, hidden lagoons, well kept nature beaches, the boat villages, along with magnificent karst mountains dotted the mirrored water underneath the mist like there was just to even more dramatically enhance. The landscape isn't spectacular, but the tranquil experience it provides is amazing. Relaxing and coming

The titop island tour was too crowded, skip the beach & go head the top & enjoy amazing view. The kayaking & swimming in Lan ha bay was brilliant, not touristy & very clean. Legacy cruise & services is well worth for money in the middle range!

Definitely a must see! We did kayaking, caving, swimming and visited the local pearl farm. I recommend doing 3 days/2nights to get to experience and do the whole halong bay cruise

We took an overnight boat. Great experience, staff and food very good. It's just a shame so many other boats are out there - spoils the setting

This surreal world wonder is located in Northeast Vietnam and should be on any world traveler’s must-see list. The bay has a beautiful greenish color and is dotted by hundreds of limestone islands that can been visited by kayak or one of the many junk-boats. We toured the bay on a junk boat and visited one of the larger islands close to port. Inside the island was an unbelievable Carlsbad Cavern experience. The boat ride and the spelunking expedition is a day that I will not soon forget. The city itself is a rapidly developing tourist destination. They are building a massive amusement park with dozens of new hotels. But don’t let the tourist part dissuade you. The journey through the fog, into Halong Bay on a boat, will take you back to a prehistoric time and place, unlike anywhere else in the world. Accommodations and island tours are very reasonably priced compared to other more popular destinations. It may be North Vietnam, but you should put this on your traveler to-do list.

This place is gorgeous. Perfect for couples. We stayed on a beautiful 3 star boat. Great service. Great food. Beautiful setting. One night is enough. Visited an oyster farm. Kayaking sun rise and sunset.
You name it. It was just awesome
