“Lovely Weather”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

Loved the location and the view. Pretty decent history lesson of the mythology surrounding the place. Drive up was okay - but would have been a nice hike if allowed. The place was very unkempt though and as usual you'll get hassled to buy stuff. Worthwhile spending an hour - we took the jeep ride to the summit. Recommend going up late evening for the best weather and view if its not too cloudy.

“Hilly and pretty”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

What a nice walk on this highland! The view was fantastic and the weather was so fresh and windy. It was very interesting for us to see many different and beautiful minority groups and their way of life. An excellent thing to do in central highland of Vietnam.

“Just have a great trek”
Reviewed May 20, 2012

Dalat’s weather is so cool. It is great to have a trek on Langbian. The terrain is not much difficult. It only took us a morning to trek from the entrance to the highest point and return. The green and mountainous backdrop with the nice atmosphere is wonderful. We had prepared trekking shoes, light clothes, food and water in backpacks. So it was like a fantastic picnic trip in the charming scenery.

“nobody around”
Reviewed March 23, 2012

first of all check the weather forecast, mornings are probably the best option.
There is a bus going to the gate of Langbiang but i had a rented bike (5$) it took me maybe 20-30 minutes from downtown.
Entrance fee 10.000d, and many jeeps waiting for customers right behing the ticket booth.
Forget the car if you want to hike the real Langbiang mountain and not the 'radar hill', maybe after 50 minute walk on a paved road, you will see the path to the peak (well marked), from there it took me another one hour up with maybe 25 minute break for a breakfast.
The way is marked with occasional red arrows, so stick to them as there are more similar paths around. Last few hundreds metres there are steps all the way to the top. It is steep, very chilly in the shadows of trees, and you hope that the heavy sounds and moving trees few metres from to you are from the wild horses and not something worse. The view at the top is just amazing and there is not a single person around (friday morning), so you can have a calm meal and relaxing time on the warm grass.
Take at least some sneakers (slippery roots), water and good lunch for the picnic at the top.
Hiking down took me approximately hour and 15 minutes. You can see plenty of horses and beautiful birds along the road.
Definitely worth the trip as it is maybe the only place without many visitors in Dalat.

“nice walk and good views”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

we walked to Lang Bian peak, which was a nice walk throuhg pine forest and then more dense jungle. the track at the start was fairly indistinct so we ended up walking up the road, but then it branches off on a dirt track and is well graded and easy to follow. the last 500m is steep steps but well formed track. the views were good from the top.
