“Great Time”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

We reached there via lift chair. The scenery reaching to the life chair is beautiful and so is near the temple surrondings. We spent about few hours. We spoke to one of the priests for about 20 min and on the temple at Wollongong, Australia. The gardens were neatly kept and followers were in full bloom. Monks were praying and this scene was fantastic(calming). We ran into students and great time chatting to them They were from HCM and studying literature. My children who are at uni really loved it. The affection that was shown to us that we did not expect.

Truc Lam has a nice monastery on the side of a lake inside the mountains. It gives you this peaceful place to look and enjoy nature.

“The Best Pagoda We've Visited”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

We've visited dozens of pagodas & temples in our travels & they are getting a bit boring at this stage but this one stands apart above the rest. It is so beautiful & peaceful & is actually a placewhere monks reside as oopposed to just being a pagoda. The scenery down to the lake is amazing & with the giant wnd chimes you get asuch a feeling of zen. IIf you go to Dalat you have to check this out.

“Fantastic day in Dalat!”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

I really enjoyed spending time at the monastery and nearby lake and would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Dalat. Round trip from the city center the transportation cost is about $8-10 whether you take a taxi or gondola. I took a motorbike taxi to the gondola ($1.50) then bought a one way ticket up ($2.50). I spent a few hours an the monastery and then walked down to the lake, which is only 100m away. There are boats to rent and some cafes and souvenir shops, but I just found a nice spot in the shade and read for awhile. From there, I took one of the waiting taxis to Crazy House ($4) which is on the way back. Then I walked back to my hotel. All in all it was a great day and great way to get outside the city!
