“A pleasant sight”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Having travelled extensively in Vietnam, it was pleasant to see big villas with vast compunds around. Though looks run down as the same is maintaned by the Government, we could see the French presence in Dalat. The quiet and serene neighbourhood is a very rare sight in Vietnam.

“Nice area.”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

I enjoyed the tour of this area; I took some nice photos of the homes and got some good ideas for a mountain home I would like to build in Colorado. It is so surreal when you think about being in Vietnam. Some of the homes reminded me of Hanoi.

“A reminder of a colonial past”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

The French Quarter in Dalat sits on the slopes above the man made Xuan Huong Lake.. many of these elegant chateau typr houses are empty and some have falen into disrepair but there is enough there to show a reasonable glimpse into Dalat's colonial past when the place was used as a summer retreat by the French living in southern Vietnam to escape the heat and humidity of Saigon and surrounds. Worth a look for the sake of seeing the architecture alone.

“OK”
Reviewed March 30, 2012

I'm not sure if I went to the right place on THD, but the houses I saw were nice, but nothing that was jaw dropping. But, it is a decent sight to see, since the houses are nice.
