Owner description: With terrific views from the third floor and a ten-foot high dragon in the side garden, this modern pagoda is a favorite.

The pagoda is located around a small square. Currently it has 3 main objects for praying. One inside hall, pagoda with a bell where you can write a wish and also climb to top floor and third is under construction with a golden statue. Unless you want to pray, the visit will take you roughly 20 minutes. I asked if it is a buddhist place or what religion does this belong to and one vietnamese family from Hanoi told me, that they actually don't know. That's my feeling from most of the newly built pagodas in Vietnam. They all are like prayin fastfood with no spirit or very little religious background.

Notice the church on the other hill. It might we worth visiting.

The Pagoda is really beautiful, but we were very happy we went (on the old train) since it was also a Pagod unlike any we saw on this trip. The designs were noticeably different, and it wasn't "another pagoda".

The TA map location is totally off, and even google maps places the pagoda within the city limits of Dalat, which it is NOT. Here is how you get there: Take the train from Dalat station to Trai Mat, it runs 5 times a day and is about 5$ return ticket. I will try to attach the time table, but TA can be very choosy with photos.

Since this is a new-ish temple it might not be everyone's taste, it looks like Buddha, Disney, Gaudi & Hundertwasser had a party and trhew everything together.

Pagoda is made of broken pieces of colorful glass, looks very bright and as if soaring in the air. Masterpiece hidden in the outskirts of Dalat. Powerful bell of wishes sounds magically...

We wanted to go for a nice ride around Da Lat. My boyfriend loves great views and getting out of the city, whilst I love sightseeing so we reached a compromise. We could go for a ride into the mountains as long as we headed to the pagoda. Cue my boyfriend whining - "Not another pagoda!!". However, once we got there he was extremely impressed - even more impressed that it was free. All the decoration on this pagoda is made of recycled materials. I spotted glass bottles and pieces of broken china everywhere and they have used it all to give a spectacular effect. There's also a gallery/workshop next door with the most amazing wooden tables and sculptures.
