Owner description: In its heyday, Dalat Station boasted three arrivals and departures daily. The French built the railway station itself, while the zigzagging tracks were planned and implemented by the Swedish, experts in tricky terrain.

We went there for fun and it was. You can touch the old trains, go inside the locomotive and pretend you were there. fun place...in a playful way. That is why I gave it a 4.

I visited close to sunset and the atmosphere was magic. Young girls taking pictures and selfies with the trains, local kids playing football on platform and waiting hall with old leather chairs in the sunset light. Just sit and relax.

You can spend an interesting half our checking out this oldest train station in Vietnam, unfortunately there is no real info there, you better read up on details online before going. Very nice to check out the 1930 locomotive that you can actually get into and play with all the switches and levers. This seems to be a very popular spot for wedding photography, we saw 2 couples with their photo team in the short time we were there.

Now, here is some real info that I would have liked to know before, there is actually a train running 5 times a day to Trai Mat, this is where the Linh Phuoc pagoda really is (the TA map is totally off, and not even google gets it right) and the trains are scheduled to take you there, then you have one hour to explore Trai Mat and the pagoda and you can catch the train back. Will try to attach picture of schedule (if TA is ok with that)

We went to this site cause it's said that there are ghosts. It's rumored that at 3.15am, when the ghosts are there, it makes the short and long fingers are at same place.
In term of the architect, the building is good for photograph. However, don't try to be in the train. Although the design is like old French one, the sighseeing along the trip is terrible. You often catch rubbish and waste with hard smell.

The Dalat railway station is an historic landmark and is a nice place to visit while in Dalat. This station does not appear to be active, and I think the planned rails were never actually completed.
