Owner description: In its heyday, Dalat Station boasted three arrivals and departures daily. The French built the railway station itself, while the zigzagging tracks were planned and implemented by the Swedish, experts in tricky terrain.

Stopped in at this place because I was doing a city easy rider tour. The building has interesting French architecture and inside a broken down train that you can jump into. Good for a couple of pictures but It's not a must do attraction. I wouldnt go to any extra effort (ie hiring s taxi) to get to this place. Regardless it makes for an ok quick stop if you are touring the city

A historic station but the steam engine is a rusted russian engine and only a diesel shunting engine takes ancient coaches along the line.

First the train station is not easy to reach. But if you are in front of them, its a wonderful Art Deco building and also the train-hall with pleasant chairs. The train and the wagons are old style and are a good foto-motiv, some weeding-couples make here theirs wedding-fotos. The ticket-office opened not all times, only 45 min before the trip - sometimes the watch in the hall shows not the same time :-));
The train-trip through the green landscape is very nice and also the swinging of the wagons. The end of the trip is Trai Mat, not a big village, you can walk to a chinese temple (it is beautiful colored - typical chinese) and through the streets, you can see the normal live, interesting for watching the life is the area around the trainstation. If you go back with the train, take a seat on the backside of the last wagon to have a wonderful view.

it's really interesting to take a quick look at the Railway Station. The building looks really nice, very european though (the French built it). you can see old trains, it's really amazing how they brought those huge machines there! Vietnamese people think it's a nice site for wedding pictures, so if you want to see pretty Vietnamese brides in pretty dresses and a handsome groom, just take the chance and go there.

Don't go out of your way to visit as there is very little to see other than an old steam engine and an old but refurbished passenger train. (which we didn't go on). Its an ideal stop as part of a tour
