“Interesting”

This is an interesting place. I loved seeing the original fittings and furnishings inside the house. The grounds are beautifully kept. There are some information signs in English, however the museum could be improved by having more signage in more of the rooms.

“Worth a visit, nice to see a little history.”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Only a few minutes out of the town centre, this is a good couple of hours of intrigue. I always like to visit places that appear to have had a life before. This is a good example, just to imagine what went on between these walls all those years ago. Only 15000vnd to go in, typically Vietnamese in as much as everything is half cocked, lots of tat on sale but the house is as it was left, apart from no personal effects. Gardens fairly well kept. Info signs in English.

“Poorly presented, uninspiring”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

An unattractive and uninspiring property with nice gardens that is poorly presented, shabby and grubby. Why we were made to wear overshoes when the place was filthy and the carpets covered with chewing gum is beyond us.

“Very nice”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

As a history buff, I love going to places like this. I've been to a number of homes kept up as museums. This is the first one in which one can sit in the chairs and touch most of the items on display. You can also have your picture taken in Bao Dai's car. The bad side of this is human contact can help decay the items. Carpet is frayed with spots on the wood floor. As a poor government, Vietnam cannot afford the costs of preserving such a site. Go see this when your in Dalat. It may not be in good condition for future generations.

“Art Deco cool”

Small but interesting site to visit in Dalat. Not in the best of shape, could use some refurbishing.
