Went here for dinner after being tempted by the nice location and decor. Great atmosphere there, and the staff seemed nice.
The owner (Vo Trinh Bien, famous Vietnamese artist) was sitting at the table next to us talking to a foreigner who was teaching English in the area. She recommended the special strawberry sauce - which was excellent.
I had the Capsicum with minced pork (excellent), my girlfriend the steamed chicken with mushroom sauce (very good) - both with mashed potatoes and the strawberry sauce. Delicious!
The Da Lat wine was sampled (both the 20 and 40.000 types) and was surprisingly good.
For dessert the Flan caramel with ice-cream was good (except for a bit of ice in the ice cream).
As we went early (around 17.30) the restaurant was almost empty and we chatted a bit with the owner, and he even made one of his signature finger paintings for us. We also got an extra glass of red wine and my girl friend got a sample of some Da Lat coffee.
All in all an excellent and very romantic evening which by chance was exactly 6 months after we left home on our RTW trip. A great evening, great staff and great food.
The price was only a tad over the other restaurants in the area - definitely worth the small premium.
