What I liked about this restaurant was the "quirky" menu. After travelling in Vietnam for some time and eating only vietnamese food (because it is so good), reading the menu at M Bistro was a nice change. Caters for all tastes and on this night I decided against vietnamese food and opted for "the meatball that ate Manhattan". And I was not disappointed. It was full of wonderful flavour. My husband's choice of fish also pleased the palate. We were also lucky enough to secure a room above the restaurant for three nights. It was very cheap at only $12 a night but for travellers like us who are not in their room during the day and use it only for sleeping and showering it was perfect. Room was spacious and clean - the shower was a wet room with the toilet also in the room - but how much time do you spend in the shower? One morning, although the restaurant does not open for breakfast until 8am the chef came in at 7.30 a.m. to prepare breakfast for us as we had a full day tour booked leaving at 8a.m. The staff could not be more helpful - on the morning of our early flight someone slept on a fold up bed in the restaurant in order to phone a taxi for us at 5.30 a.m. Would highly recommend to non-fussy travellers.
