Stayed here one night with my cadets when we visited Dalat. Hotel is rather retro, with lots of wooden furniture, a four poster bed, hanging lanterns, a brass rain shower and a telephone dating back to the 70s in the room. Hotel also has a collection of old cars in its grounds. Room is comfortable enough, however has no air conditioning, but isn't really necessary as the temperature at night when i was there was about 18 degrees. Television is rather small, probably a 14 inch. And agree with some reviewers that the karaoke can get rather loud at night. But the hotel has got some positives going for it. We had free chicken porridge for supper and I was also served 2 glasses of hot soya milk before my bedtime by the bell boy. Loved the soy milk. Breakfast was great for a tourist class hotel. Lots of variety and really enjoyed the meatballs, pho noodles and Vietnamese coffee. These items were really top notched. And finally, the location of the hotel cannot be faulted as its very close to the night market of Dalat city.

Synthetic sheets and pillow cases, windows that don't open, no air con? Smoke filled air in every public space. Whole experience turned to nightmare when karaoke started and bus load of Chinese tourists started belting out 80's hits until midnight. We checked out next day without getting our money back.

Hotel staff are relaxing and smoking in the lobby while the guests are waiting for checking out, which took unbelievably long. It seemed to me there are no sense of morale among the staff. Also there was unbearable noise from the karaoke bar until midnight just next to my room.
Shower facilities are also as terrible as the staff. I almost got burnt by the boiling water from the shower head, I guess there is no mixing valve working.

This is certainly not a 4 star hotel despite its olde-worlde appearance and its interesting vintage car collection The room was OK but the staff were sullen, disinterested and uncaring to say nothing of the NOISE,NOISE,NOISE!!!!,lack of restaurant, poor breakfast almost totally not geared to non-Asian tourists. As we quickly discovered there is a large number of far better options so don not stay here!!

Room Tip: don't bother!!

The room was nice but could not believe the noise. Buses constantly honking out front. Kids screaming up and down the hallway day and night. Kareoke nearly every night at the top of their voices. Very disappointed with what is a beautiful hotel. For an old French villa they have let the place go downhill by allowing kids to run everywhere yelling, especially after 10 at night. Disappointed. :(
