“Pricey but delicious!”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

We actually went to Le Cafe de la Poste twice. The first time, we tried some of their desserts in the evening. The restaurant was basically empty, so we had the full attention of the staff.

We ordered some ice cream, an opera cake and a chocolate brownie. We were initially a bit worried about spending so much money on desserts. But the food was well worth the money. The desserts were absolutely delicious! The cakes were little works of art (and tasted good on top) and so was the ice cream.

So we decided to come back the next morning for their breakfast buffet. They had a wide variety of foods--whenever something ran low, they would quickly refill it. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast as well! So two thumbs up for Le Cafe de la Poste from us! Well done!

“Good food, nice ambience, worth a try.”

Next to the Dalat Palace hotel and run by the same owners/management this cafe/restaurant is a good alternative to the more expensive Le Rabelais restaurant. which has a disappointingly limited menu.

“Surprise”

Great food, ambience, good service.
Reminds me of some cafes in Europe, but with the Vietnamese touch. Even had clean toilets!

“French Attitude without the class...”
Reviewed December 2, 2011

We entered late (9pm) and were the only ones there. Ordered two items for desert and honestly took a solid 45mins. The brownie was great but the opera cake ( an obvious French classic ) was butchered beyond belief. I am still of the opinion it was a de-freeze and serve... I think the best lesson we have had in Vietnam is stick to the local cuisine, don't go to a western or a "French restaurant" you will be disappointed... They don't do "fusion" well..
