Really affordable and very delicious. Would highly recommend. Surroundings aren't fantastic and don't expect alcohol. But otherwise great.

Arrived at 1600, right as they opened. They immediately served us hot green tea. Overall, the service was friendly, The food was good - with fresh ingredients. Our two spring rolls were individually priced and were delicious. The mixed steamed vegetables and Thai rice were equally good.
The restaurant is quite large, with two levels. It sits directly on one of the busiest streets in Dalat. Road noise drowned out the piped music. The inside is not particularly well maintained. Recessed lights were hanging loosely from the ceiling.
Unlike other restaurants which clean before they open, when we arrived the floor was still a bit dirty from the night before; however, the staff began cleaning it right after we sat down to eat.
Between the road noise and the cleaning, the overall ambiance was not great.

I just returned (amid the present drizzle here in Dalat) from this delightful restaurant - perfect location right in the heart of central Dalat, excellent prices, and the two dishes I had (Fried Eggplant with Ginger plus Tofu and Mushrooms Braised with Pepper - each dish just 35,000 dong) were both extraordinary. As a newly arrived expat now living here in Dalat - I will most certainly be coming back again and again to try everything on Hoa Sen's extensive menu (nicely subtitled in English - including the "Pumskin Juice".

Aside from the dumplings (which were overly peppery) there is nothing to fault here. The dishes are inexpensive and well prepared. A return visit is on the menu.

Everything is fresh. The menu is massive. The staff didn't speak a lot of English fortunately, they still understood us. I like : the braised tofu and mushrooms, lotus fried rice. One address should visit when in Dalat. Very reasonable prices. Would recommend to everyone.
