We arrived early (6.45 p.m.) on a Sunday and were first in, but the place soon filled up. We ordered Margaritas, soft chicken tacos and chicken quesadillas. A complimentary house salad arrived as a starter, the drinks were OK and good value for money and the food nice. What makes this place is the ambience - great quirky decor, super mix of nationalities and live music in the form of an excellent acoustic trio playing '60's classics. At about 9.15 p.m. we followed the musicians to the Escape bar just up the road and continued our evening out there. How bizarre though - eating Mexican food and drinking tequila in an American bar in Vietnam, listening to a band comprising guys from The Philippines, Australia and Vietnam. A memorable evening indeed.

We visited this restaurant several times during our three week stay in Dalat and we enjoyed every experience.
The atmosphere is friendly and the decor is bright and warm. It is usually busy and so the staff are understandably rather stretched sometimes, but they are attentive and generally speak good English.

On a couple of occasions, our food arrived 'luke-warm' and so wasn't that great and definitely not worth the price we were charged for it, but at other times it arrived hot and fresh. So it's a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the consistency of the food. The wine here is nice and you can never go wrong with a bottle of cold Saigon Green.

It is definitely more expensive than many other restaurants in Dalat, and not necessarily superior, however, if you want to go an spend a bit extra and have the choice of an wide and tasty menu, then this is worth a visit.

We took our daughter and two friends there to celebrate our daughter's "significant" birthday. Although the place was pretty full, the staff re-arranged seating for us with the good will of other patrons. Food was good and promptly served, the staff friendly to the point of providing a small birthday cake and having the in-house entertainment group ( fabulous!) sing "Happy Birthday".
Thoroughly recommend V Cafe. One word of warning - there is a cafe across the road called the V Cherry, so don't be misled by going there - its sign is bigger and brighter!

We went to this restaurant because of a recommendation from our hotel.
The food was delicious and really reasonably priced. We enjoyed the meal with good jazz music in the background too.
The staff are great and very friendly, the music and Raymond the musician are incredible.
We definitely come back this place if we get a chance!

Stumbled upon the V Cafe - we ate there two times in a three night stay in Dalat. First night we had asian cuisine and very nice indeed. Second night we decided with western food - the crumbed chicken and veges was brilliant. So nice to have mashed spuds and steamed local veges. The music was great and we visited our mispent youth with classics from Neil Young, James Taylor and others. Would recommend this restaurant.
