“Awesome Night Out in Dalat”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

First night in Dalat. Same owners as the Green City hotel, so I decided to take advantage of the discount for people who stay in the hotel. Friendly staff. Place was a bit busy so I took a seat at the bar for a drink and a chat with the owner, who is also one of the musicians. The owner offered a bunch of travel info and recommendations for things to do in Dalat. My meal came out hot and delicious (lasagna, with a side salad). Great selection of wines. (French. I would not recommend the Dalat red wine - it's half grape half mulberry). Music was awesome - not too loud, fun, tunes that got the audience singing along. Made a couple of friends who were also travelling. Best night I've had out in a new city in a long time.

“Cute place but not great food”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

The cafe was nice and definitely somewhere we'd go to for a drink and to see some music.

It's definitely a popular place as it was getting full as we finished.

Unfortunately though, our food was pretty poor and so we wouldn't eat there again - we ordered a lasagne, a pizza and a salad. Coffee wasn't great either.

In short, we'd go again to have a drink, see some live music and if we lived in Dalat, maybe hang out with friends...but not eat.

Pro: nice balcony to sit and relax, friendly staff, good atmosphere, nice springrolls
Con: a little overpriced, mostly Western food ( can be a pro if you are looking for that)

“Wasted money”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Maybe lunch just isn't their thing, but we found the food extremely disappointing. We ordered a spicy tofu dish and a vegetarian curry, but of which were rather watery and contained no identifiable pieces of tofu. The accompanying bowl of rice was rather small too, especially when you consider the price of 79k Dong (not that that's a lot, but I've had much tastier stuff for less in restaurants in Vietnam). Add lackluster service to that and I see no reason why I would go there again or recommend anyone else to do so.

Ouch, that's pretty harsh. Sorry you didn't enjoy the meal. We'll have a word with daytime staff to be more attentive. Safe travels.
