“Great Value, Average Rooms”
Reviewed March 11, 2010

The rooms were extremely cheap! We stayed for 12USD/room for 3 people. The rooms were clean enough - although not luxurious, it was good enough for us. The shower head was kind of awkward because you had to hold it with your hand.

Free internet is always a bonus. The location was great - above the peace cafe restaurant - BEST FOOD IN TOWN! TRY THE CURRY!

Rooms were very basic but enough for a backpacker. Staff was friendly but only when the restaurant was not too busy - they seem to get really stressed when you try and talk to them about the room when the restaurant is full!!

I would recommend this hotel to people who need the basic amenities in a hotel - a good sleep and a hot shower!

Very clean, friendly staff and located above a cafe. Oh, and it was $6 a night with a big fan, TV and hot shower. I actually had 2 beds but I was only one person, it was a really great bargain. Quiet as a mouse at night and I slept like a baby, the location is good too, just a small walk from the dead center of Da Lat. I would definetely re-book here again.

The upstairs rooms don't have closing windows, have 1 mosquito net for 2 beds, the wall doesn't go all the way to the ceiling and they lock with a padlock... but the rooms on the 2nd floor are lovely!

We stayed at Peace Hotel 2 (across the road from the original) for 1 night, although it was originally meant to be 2 or 3. We had a downstairs room near the front door, which we accepted would be a bit noisy because of this location - but wow! I dont think ive ever stayed anywhere as noisy!!! The hotel was full of Vietnamese youngsters who ran riot through it screaming and generally causing havoc, and there were constantly 'Easy Rider' Vietnamese motorcycle drivers camped directly outside our window revving their engines through the night. Add to this the fact the hotel is situated directly on the corner of a very busy road and you have a recipe for a very bad nights sleep! The room itself was big and with an ensuite, but the TV worked when it felt like it and the hot water was sporadic. Overall, i definitely wouldnt recommend this hotel unless you are a VERY deep sleeper, and want something very cheap - it was definitely that. Also, the location, apart from the main road, couldnt be more central to Dalats backpacker area.

We stayed here after booking it through our hotel in Nha Trang, we arranged a bus pick up as we didn't want the hassle of taxis etc. We arrived at the Hahn Cafe and there was noone there to collect us, we got in a taxi and went to the hotel ourselves, to be fair they did pay for the taxi for us. From the get go, the women who ran the place were so pushy, wanted us to book another night straight away, to book tours, to book buses etc etc etc.I know this is the norm in asia but this was over the top. If we were going out anywhere we had to pass through the cafe downstairs so as we would leave the reception on the 1st floor they would shout down to the cafe and we would be bombarded by the women in the cafe. Trying ot get out the door was a battle. It made me feel ucomfortable staying there. I was stressed about the check out the following morning all through the night.

It is fine for a stopover of one night, possbley two, but don't expect any peace or quiet in this hotel!

Not very Peaceful. Do not go if you want a good nights sleep. Very noisy bar downstairs. Great place to meet other travellers and book an easyrider for a day tour or more. Clean rooms at great rates. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food is not fantastic but there are plenty of options nearby.
