We went to Khai Islands and Coral Island. The spedboat ride was about 1/2 hour but because of the strong wind, was rather bumpy - but fun! Not much of a beach at Khai and you have to pay Baht 150 for rental of a pair of deck chairs and umbrella. You can feed the fishes there and there is some marine life but dead corals. At Coral Island, deck chairs are free and the beach here is longer. Same goes for the marine life.

BTW, I am writing about coral island near Pattaya

Its very expensive and meaningless to take a guided tour. Reasons
- They charge too much for a 45min boat ride and lunch
- They charge too much for water sports like Parasailing, water scooter etc. For example, in my case I paid 500 THB for parasailing while it costs as less as 200 THB.
- It is meaningless since they will just drop to at one of the beaches and u spent whole day there whether u like it or not

We took a boat to coral island from Bali Hai Pier for 30THB per person. The boat took us to Naban port from where we rented a bike for 200 THB for whole day.

Its amazing since u can visit all the beaches (there are 7-8 beaches) and spent most of the time on the beach u like.

A very inexpensive day trip to a simple beutiful Island just 15 minutes away. We got a great deal 600 Baht each which included pick up and drop off from Hotel, jet boat ride to the Island, beach chair, buffet lunch and free tea & coffee. Whilst there you can do para sailing which is well worth the effort and alot cheaper than the same in Patong. We took a thrilling ride on the banana boat with plenty of spills ,we all laughed until it hurt. You can lounge around in the surf or go snokling and take in all the amazing fish life. Or if you want to lounge around on the beach and do nothing all day then go for it. A great day out,we've been twice and will go again, heeeeaps of fun.

Full day trip to coral island with 2 children and a toddler. Good if you go with small children as it's only 15 minutes and still got to swim with the fish. Lunch was provided but not that good. just ok to fill up your tummy. Many corals were dying but still got to see many type of fish.

We researched the trips and found one with transfers from Phuket for 1000 Baht. This included a buffet lunch, sunbed and snorkel hire and the speed boat there. Its just as you would imagine a tropical paradise and I am so glad we went. The snorkeling area was roped off and at first I wondered whether we would see any fish or any coral for that matter. The coral is not quite as I imagined but the fish...WOW...it was like being on a aquatic documentary, angel fish, parrot fish (or are they called rainbow fish?) and other dazzling delights. Only 2 negative things, firstly, we were so entranced by the fish that we did not see jelly fish until we were stung. The stings were pin pricks and no ill after effects afterwards and our guide made up some potion with vinegar and herbs. The other negative thing was we had to return to the mainland at 2pm. Other than that - the highlight of a 3 week stay where we did loads!
