“Great Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2014

We have visited Peppers Sports Bar for two years running now, each occasion was to enjoy the State of Origin live telecast. This bar is great - friendly, efficient staff, reasonable prices and enjoyable food.

“Peppers bar..Phuket”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2014

Found this little gem by mistake..was hot and tired walking the streets shopping.and came across this little bar..talking for awhile with the owners son about what games they were playing that day on TV..watched Hawks and West Coast live then the Rugby came on..Enjoyed a few cold beers or several and decided a feed was in order.had the Spagetti Bolengesse..it was really made well..enjoyed it enough to came back a few days later for some more.they have a big range of western dishes as well as thai..and do a Sunday roast.ie lamb.chicken.beef.for those who are craving a home cooked meal..very good value..its a ex pat bar for pommies.lol but dont let that put ya off.

Good breakfast but please someone show the cook how to grill food and not serve up a plate of food swimming in oil.

“Pepper & Salt - Best Sports Bar in Town”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2014

Let me start by saying I have Villa in the area and my family have been going here for over 6 years.
If you are a bloke or just love watching your favourite game and sharing a beer and you are staying in or around Laguna/Bang Tao area, what a GREAT bar. Lots of POMs, Kiwis,Aussies and Europeans to banter with during a game. There are half a dozen TVs in the bar and all could have a different game on however, in the case of a major international most will have the game on all and the bar will be buzzing. All friendly fun and there is a LONG happy hour for cheap beer. The food is 100% Pommie with Thai food as well. Best is breakfast. My wife and daughter and myself would have the small American breakfast (Sausages, eggs, beans, tomato, mushrooms, toast, juice, tea or coffee 250Thb (less A$9) and that is the small.

Hand here is the funny part. They have a sister restaurant at Surin Beach called Salt. So if you go there (food and view of the beach is unreal AND private parking behind the restaurant) you will most likely run into the same staff from the night before.

My Suggestion:
If you are looking for a good beach and are driving then is drive past the Surin entrance (if heading south to Patong) or just before the Surin enterance (if coming from Patong direction) you will see the big Salt sign. Drive in and down the short hill. Turn right and park there. Then you can walk down the stairs to Salt and down on to the middle of Surin beach where there are Salt's lounges and umbrellas just like all the rest of the beach however you have drinks and food service from Salt staff as well as when you have finished your sun baking have a cool shower at the front of the seating. Do the right thing and go buy a drink, ice-cream or even a cheap meal.

Congrads to the Mom & Son owners Clare & Jake on two great places to go in Bang Tao / Surin /Laguna area.
