“Awesome~~!!”
Reviewed March 23, 2013

I did this during my second trip to Phuket, but how I wish I knew this earlier and as well do it during my first trip back in 2010~ We boarded to a big board, which had about... er.. I can't remember, maybe 30 people something like that? On the board they served fruits and cordials, well you gotta pay for your beer then... The lunch onboard was more like Thai cuisine, don't expect contemporary cuisine, just more like local style food... It was quite ok, well, nothing much to complaint anyways, since this is a a "cruise trip" but, "sea-canoe"....

Every 2-3 person will assigned a canoe with a guide, so basically you just sit on it, get ready your ready and "cruise" along sea into the cave.... They are quite smart isn't it? Just a peaceful and totally different lagoon inside cave, they just think of it and here you go - another business for them~ Guess what was the feeling when I first entered and came out from the cave into the lagoon? If you recall those King Kong movie, they entered an island and all of sudden they found a different world - here you go with this cave.... Of course, it's not really a "different-world", but somehow you will be amazed with the beauty of nature... How long does it takes to create such a lagoon, plus under-cave for us to canoe inside right?

Well, it's been quite awhile ago (June 2012), I can't really recall how many caves we've entered, probably 2 or 3, then stopped at the James Bond Island for photo taking, followed by they stopped by at a bay for tourists to swim and canoe by themselves on the sea (well, no cave around there, so no adventure for yourself ya)....

The whole itinerary might sound simple, but again, the point is "sea-cave canoe", that's worth more than anything even though we didn't stay too long inside.... lol~ Get yourself a chance to try it, you shall love it~

“Amazing day.”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Originally we only thought about doing this tour as a way of filling in a day. we had already done Phi phi and the mandatory elephant trekking, so this seemed a bit different. i must admit i did feel a touch nervous about what we were going to experience.
As usual on these tours , you are picked up pretty early . The drive takes you to a rather remote spot where you then board large Ferry type Vessels and slowly head out towards Phang Nga bay. Amazing scenery everywhere and calm waters as well.
Passengers are introduced to their personal guide / paddler and these guys are some of the Friendliest people you would ever meet. Your guide (ours was Mario ) looks after your every need all day as well as paddling your canoe and providing a wealth of information.
We stopped and hopped in our canoes, with mario smiling and waiting, at three different locations. Such fun , seeing this tiny hole in a cliff and knowing your going to go in it in a canoe. Inside the caves is amazing and no need to feel nervous at all.we were delighted to see lots of wildlife on the other side in an area they call "Rooms" Plenty of monkeys , Birds, Mud skippers and of course bats.
Lunch is served on board the boat and was as usual, delightful.
Back to another island where you were given the choice of swimming ashore or by traditional thai boat. This beach was nice and peaceful, Not overcrowded like phi phi. Time to self paddell, swim or sit back and sip a beer, which we did with new friends that we made that day . Whist on this beach, sitting on the beach mat that smiling mario had layed down for us, myself and every other female on this tour was given a little plastic bottle filled with little plastic flowers that had been made by smiling mario and the other guides. Loved it and would encourage others to tip their guides handsomely. The smiling marios on this tour make it that bit more enjoyable than most others. Had a Wonderful time.

“A must do in Phuket”
Reviewed February 26, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I had a marvellous day out on this trip and were completely overawed by the fabulous scenery. It wasn't even a particularly sunny day so I can only imagine how beautiful it must be when the sun is bouncing off the water.
Chin and his team work very hard to make this day a good one and they certainly earn their tips. The caves are very very cool if not a bit scary & claustrophobic in parts! We did the trip in reverse due to tides etc and thankfully nowhere we went was crowded.
The food on the boat was nice too, my only complaint that there was no beer!
Our guide Alex was brilliant and he brought bananas so we could feed the monkeys. One even jumped on my canoe and snatched a banana out of my hand.
We would definately recommend this trip!

“Well executed tour of these wonderful islands”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Pick-up from your hotel is fairly early, around 7.30am to get the the pier which seems to be in the middle of nowhere on the North-Eastern coast of Phuket island. The boats themselves are quite spacious, and safe. There is a limit of about 30 passengers on board each one, which gives everyone enough room to sit and mill around on the covered deck.

Our tour consisted of several stops, firstly to James Bond Island (so called because it was Scaramanga's evil base in The Man with the Golden Gun) and then for a couple of canoe trips in and out of local caves and lagoons. Each canoe sits 3 people, a guide from the boat who is assigned to you for the day and who paddles for you and helps you take photos, and 2 passengers. Make sure you wear something suitable for getting wet, and wear some sunscreen; lifejackets are available. The last stop was on a local sandy beach, where you can spend an hour relaxing, swimming in the sea, or trying the canoeing by yourself. The friendliness of the guide is, as others have mentioned, what makes this trip special.

Lunch is provided on board, and is a good selection of Thai food cooked in the ship's galley. There was plenty to go around, and there are free cold soft drinks and water available at any time during the journey. The company also films you and offers to sell you a DVD of the trip and local scenery, but I felt at 1600 baht was a bit expensive. Give a larger tip to your guide instead.

Two small suggestions to the company - it would be nice to provide a bit of information to the guests about the local area - the bay and the islands, and secondly, if you're hoping to sell us a photo of the trip, don't take a full length photo of each guest on the pier. Teach someone to take a proper photo and choose a background that encapsulates this beautiful area of Thailand.

“Fantastic experience - A must do at Phuket”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Me and my wife had recently visited Phuket and took the Sea Cave Canoe day trip to Phang Nga bay. The trip is a day long activity. The package includes pick up and drop from one's Hotel. We are staying at Karon and were picked up at around 730AM. It was a long drive from the hotel to the place where the boat was scheduled to leave.

The boat has 2 decks: The lower deck having the kitchen and the inflated Canoe and the upper deck where people are seated. The good part was that the boat was not overcrowded. There was enough space for people to relax.

The best part about the entire trip was the crew. They were very friendly and genuinely take care of you. They offer water, juice and fruits at regular intervals. The best part being each group (2 people since the canoe cannot accommodate more than 2 people) is allocated a dedicated crew. We were allocated a Teenager named Vince. Over the day Vince took care of all our requirements, helped us out with photographs and took care of us while canoeing through the caves. This personalized hospitality is what made this tour one of the best during our stay

The canoe through the cave was once in a lifetime experience for us. The caves are so dark that one has to have a flash light to navigate.

There was ample time for us to go around during the stops. We visited 2 caves, James bond Island (James Bond island was very crowded. Apart from taking few snaps there was nothing much on this island. ) and one secluded island where we were allowed to swim, canoe and relax. This was the best part of the day. Unlike Phi Phil islands where we could hardly find a place for ourselves, this island hardly had any other boat. There were only couple of groups along with us in the entire island. Me and my wife had a great time Canoeing around this island and enjoying the scenery around. The fish prepared on board was very good and everyone enjoyed the lunch.

We had a great time during this trip and would recommend this to everyone who is visiting Phuket.
