Really enjoyed are stay at the Sabai Lodge. The price was reasonable and location. Was also great. Located on Soi 2, which is a quiet street and yet close to beach and Pattaya night life starting on Soi 6. Good distance from Walking Street, but trucks run by every 10 secs that you can jump on and ride forever for 10 Bhatt.
Hotel a bit dated, but clean. Nice pool area where you can watch the European's burn their skins to a crisp. Restaurant is not great. The hotel staff tries to speak English, but make sure they thoroughly understand what you are asking. Thai people have a way of agreeing and telling you what they think you want to know, but in some cases you end up getting lead awry with a misunderstanding.

Good location for Beach Road. Requested a room on the lower floor as we has my Mum who is 85 and ended up on the 2nd floor. Lower rooms were unoccupied but they wouldn't let us change.
The air conditioning worked when it felt like it and the lights in the room went on and off at all times of the night.
Good choice for breakfast and the bar food was ok too. Staff at at the bar could be very slow at serving sometimes. The place could do with a makeover

Have been to Sabai Lodge for just one night, visiting a friend.
The lodge has a nice but simple setup, ideal for families with kids.
The location is good - between beach road and shops (2nd road).

But:
- The rooms are more than simple, worn-out and old.
- There is no internet in the rooms available.
- Booked a room with "pool view". A joke. The pool is outside the room, so you have to go out of your room the see the pool.

This hotel is more or less visited by Russian families meanwhile.
If you are not Russian - think about it!!

Room Tip: Poolview is NO poolview. The pool is outside your room door. Poolview is loud. Russian's occupie chairs from early in the morning on!! If you want a quite room, go far away from the pool.

I've stayed at sabai lodge twice now & going back there again for the third time this month. The hotel & location have everything you need. The hotel has a very large pool & excellent pool bar. All staff from reception to the waiting staff are very friendly & helpful. Rooms are extremely clean & spotless.

The food at the restaurant is quiet decent & has a variety of choices if Thai food doesn't suit your taste buds. Range of drinks & cocktails are very good too.

The location is perfect, when you come out the hotel turn right & walk about 100 yards & your on beach road & the beach itself. All restaurants, bars , shops, massages etc are within walking distance especially the vibrant nightlife of Pattaya, however if you want to go to walking street you might want to get one of those open air taxis which is I think 50baht or less per person or if you want to soak up the atmosphere at night , it's about a 20minute walk.

Highly recommended to solo or group travellers!

We stayed for one week in march, and we were pretty pleased with our choice. Located close to beach with nice pool. Staff could be more attentive, but mostly we got decent service. Rooms have met duedate for some upgrades, but the sheets was clean, a\c worked and we slept all through the night. Breakfast was ok. For the price they charge, one does get good value for money. We would stay here again.
