Garden Cliff is an excellent hotel in Pattaya. It is a luxury beachside hotel with top class service. The architecture is very nice and the room is very clean and beauiful. We stayed in a pool access room and it was amazing how we can just jump down the pool at anytime. There are two connecting pools with waterfall and jacuzzi with a wonderful view of the sea. We went for our anniversary and the hotel prepared a lot of flowers in the room and the bathroom for us. The breakfast was excellent with all varieties of food. The location was also excellent in Na Klue and they have a free shuttle service to main attractions.

Room Tip: Pool access room and Junior suites are amazing.

Summary:
-
No free Wifi
Prices (esp. breakfast)
Construction work
Beach was tiny and sea was dirty
Far from city (only 3 minibus per day)
Swimming pools cold
+
Beach-front BBQ was very practical
Excellent rooms
Reception and staff friendly and polite

This is a pleasant, comfortable, recent, mid-range hotel at a competitive price. The low price is due to its isolation from Pattaya, 10-minutes’ drive away (the area surrounding the hotel is totally devoid of interest for tourists). Also, there’s a lot of noisy building work going on just next door.
The hotel, despite its otherwise good facilities, offers no free wifi which, considering the price and the hotel’s 4 stars, is unacceptable – if you want to check your mail, you’re billed 130 baht (about 3.50€) for 30 minutes, which is just greedy.
Likewise, breakfast costs 650 baht (about €16), again, shockingly expensive. The spa offers massages and other treatments four or five times more expensive than in Pattaya.
The hotel does have its own small, private beach, but it was not very well maintained and the sea was a dirty brown colour (no-one swam in it during the time we stayed there).
As mentioned previously, the hotel is quite far from Pattaya, but does offer 3 daily minibus services to and from the city centre (10 mins each way).
The swimming pools are surprisingly cold, being permanently shaded from the sun by tall buildings on either side. Again, few people were brave enough to enter the water.
On a positive note, staff were all friendly and professional, the reception area is very pleasant and the rooms are large and tastefully decorated, with spacious and pleasant bathrooms. The sole restaurant offered seafood which was good, though pricy.
This is a hotel for people who don’t mind being a long way from Pattaya, and who don’t want to leave the hotel, but just spend a few days in by the pool.

Garden Cliff is located on the North side of Pattaya and is 10-15 Min away from the city centre, One can use taxi or shuttle service provided by the Hotel. Hotel operates free shuttle three times a day to drop you to cuty centre. Taxi takes 200THB to drop you to the city centre. I stayed in a Junior Suite which was a facing the ocean. The Room had a awesome view. If you are an Indian then i must tell you that, there are very little food options available specially for vegetarians, only one Indian TV channel. However barring it my overall stay experience was very good.

Room Tip: Junior suite is an excellent room if your pocket permits.

I made a major mistake in booking this place. Upon arrival late evening found that my "Junior Suite" was nothing more than a glorified deluxe room, aged and located right next to a huge construction site with heavy machinery and hundreds of workers. Very unsightly and disturbing. The small yet pleasant balcony could not be used due to this construction right next to my " suite". There is no Minibar and in the middle of the night I wanted to get a drink but found out that the fridge is empty. Couldn't be bothered to call room service at that time. Next morning when I was looking for a newspaper was told by the concierge that I should have informed my Tour Agent in advance! Huh! I wasn't part of a tour group. I paid for a suite on the web. Upon check out the Front Office Manager wanted me to wait for the housekeeping to check the room. When I question why, as I had already paid for the room in advance and there was no minibar so couldn't have consumed anything. I got a lecture in front of the other people waiting that this is a hotel policy and that I should wait....

The incoming General manager is well experienced and very professional and tried and amended the issues as much as possible. Thank you!

However, I will never stay or recommend this place to anyone. I notice that someone in Trip advisor had made comments as to a particular nationality being the largest customer base, I could not agree more. Rough and noisy crowd, impolite Reception and totally inadequate for a frequent traveler.

The Garden Cliff Resort is a real beauty. Although the attention to detail is lacking, the management has done a commendable job with the look and decor of the hotel, which is one of the finest in Pattaya.

Garden Cliff is located on the north side of Pattaya and is a 15 minute tuktuk ride from the city centre. The hotel offers amazing views of the ocean from the entrance lobby and the infinity pool is to-die-for.

Highlights: Infinity pool, hotel decor, courteous staff

Shortfalls: Construction activity in the neighbourhood, rooms feel run-down (especially bathrooms), oily breakfast spread, beach is inundated with dead fish during low tide.

In conclusion, the Garden Cliff is a pleasant stay that offers unparalleled sea-views with a pinch of salt.

Room Tip: Pool View facing rooms offer both pool and sea views. They are also secluded from neighbouring const...

This hotel is stunning when you first arrive. Impressive fountain feature. It has an open air lobby/bar area with a stunning view of the sea and the pool area. The pool area is also very impressive, there are 3 different levels to the pool area and the main pool area has a clever visual effect appearing to have no edge.

The rooms are comfortable, however, small details let it down. The sealant around the toilets/bath areas are turning yellow. The wooden floors in the rooms are really worn. The room was nice, but I just couldn't get comfortable. It didn't feel clean. There was something niggling in the back of my mind that didn't allow me to settle in comfortably. The furniture was also worn and dated. Our view from the bedroom was okay (for now). Looking across into the sea and currently overlooking a construction site that started early and worked late into the night. I'm sure by the time it's finished our view across the sea will be blocked by a high rise (which is what I assume they are constructing).

Breakfast is okay, but when we were there, the sheer amount of people made it feel overly crowded. You had to queue for everything! We generally sat outside in the morning air, and it seemed the staff often forgot that outside there are also guests. We often went inside to serve ourselves tea/coffee during breakfast. It wasn't far, just the otherside of the door, however, with the lack of service, it made us seem far segregated! I'm not sure if this was due to the fact that there was so many people at breakfast or if they didn't have enough staff but this is something the hotel could definitely work on.

In conclusion, a decent enough place to stay. Best part is definitely the pool area. Nice place to relax, have a swim and just chill out. Plenty of sun loungers for sun worshippers and even a bar in the pool itself to refresh. The hotel also has a private beach area, but I don't think it is really used, certainly not in the time in which we stayed. The different pool areas is more than enough.

An excellent choice of hotel in Pattaya, away from the bustle and with access to a small secluded beach. The beach and the hotel's facilities were not busy at all during our stay. There is a beautiful outlook from the hotel foyer, looking down over the sea. The breakfast buffet is quite expensive but there is a limited version that is perfectly adequate for a much more reasonable price. Most guests seem to be Russian, if that is any interest!
