Just back from a 16 night stay at the Sheraton, on arrival we had to wait as there were no rooms ready the girl on reception told us that we could relax and if a room became available any earlier she would come and get us.
True to her word she found us some 2 hours later and took us to our room we had booked a garden view room however we were presented with a sea view on the 4th floor and WOW what a view and fantastic high standard room Thank You.
The rooms are well equipped you want for nothing the staff are excellent and the Hotel overall is superb, this is a quiet prestige resort that is great for relaxing and the frequent free shuttle bus into Pattaya is a great way to get into the city and explore.
Many Thanks to Spencer (head chef) from the U.K. who chatted and took time to explain the various menus which we tried and many Thai dishes which were great.
the only down side possibly is that the hotel is built on a hillside and there are quite a few steps to negotiate but don't let this put you off.
You will not find any low rise hotels of this very high standard that is peaceful and tranquil.
Many Thanks to ALL at the Sheraton for making our stay so memorable.

Both my Nokia phone charger and my husband's bathing suit conveniently disappeared from our room. I suspect that the housekeeper was snooping around my suitcase where I placed my phone charger. My husband's bathing suit was hung out at the patio. At first I thought it was caught in the wind but nothing else hung at the patio was blown away except the bathing suit. The hotel was trying to charge us for a cracked soap dish and a broken coffee mug. The soap dish charge I was able to undo due to no fault of our own but for the coffee mug we were charged 250Baht. I thought it was a tad bit expensive for a plain Made in Thailand ceramic.
Overall the property is nice and tranquil but be wary of your belongings.

Dear tigsmab,

Greetings from Sheraton Pattaya Resort. We hope that you are well and that you enjoyed a pleasant journey home.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I am delighted that you found our resort nice and tranquil. Please accept that I am very disturbed to read of the incidents that you described.

Rest assured that we take any alleged incident like this extremely seriously, and have commissioned a full investigation. There was only one room attendant that had access to your room, and this person has been with our resort since before the hotel opened. They have a long history of honesty in the resort, many times finding and returning guest valuables that have been left unattended, and in fact have any times been commended on their honesty. We will of course complete our investigation, but I am confident that an alternative explanation will be found, and we will also be monitoring our Lost & Found Department. Should there be any changes, I will of course contact you directly. Please do accept my apologies for any inconvenience that these incidents may have caused during your stay with us.

I do hope that this incident will not dissuade you from visiting our resort in the future, and I shall be personally involved to ensure that we exceed your expectations on any future visits.

Thanks & Warmest Regards
Michael

I was vacillating between a trip to Hua Hin and Pattaya, and finally decided on Pattaya due to its shorter distance from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. We stayed in the Sheraton Pattaya via an SPG offer and booked online. My worry prior to the trip was how we were going to make the airport transfer to the hotel. I'd read quite abit about it on Trip Advisor and tried to contact Mr Taxi - who replied at first, but then stopped replying to emails. Left me even more worried. In the end, I settled for the hotel limo - Oriental Limos, which was just incredibly expensive. 4000 THB. But, it was safe, pleasant and very comfortable.

We booked the pool access room as my main aim of the trip was to spend as much time in the pool as possible. It was a great decision, and worth the extra baht for the room upgrade. Spacious, lovely lounge chairs and with the smaller pool (I've forgotten the name) about 5 steps from our room balcony. Thankfully no problems with bugs at all.

We arrived abit late on our first night, so decided to try the hotel Italian restaurant - Latitude. Gosh, the food was really good. We went back again for lunch two days later, and the pizzas, calamari and drinks were spectacular. The restaurant provided beautiful views of the sea and the service was great. The hotel grounds were easy to navigate, not many hills or steps, although the resort style sprawl of the rooms may seem abit inconvenient for some. Good to note that wifi is free in the lobby, but there is also a comfortable, airconditioned business room which has about 6-7 desktop computers with internet access.

Our only problem with the hotel was the booking of the shuttle. We called ahead of time to book via the reception, and both times the shuttle left without us! On enquiring at the concierge, they denied any sort of booking at all. Another time, we changed our return trip time and told the driver, but he forgot and left without us again. We learnt out lesson and made personal bookings at the concierge - which turned out alright. They also helped book our return transfer to the airport via Bell Travel, which was safe and much much cheaper than the hotel limo.

An earlier reviewer mentioned something about taxis and tuktuks hanging about at the entrance of the hotel. This was quite true and the hotel staff didn't seem to want to help to advice us about prices of trips to town. We initially wanted to take the taxis everywhere - they cost the same as tuktuks for two people but had the 'luxury' of aircon, but they were hardly anywhere to be found near the hotel.

The hotel grounds were very pretty, although dwarfed by the nearby taller hotels and suites. The three pools provided great variety and lounging options. The hotel staff provided iced water and towels the minute they spotted you arriving at the pool, and at certain hours, offered strawberry and kiwi smoothies for free! The hotel beach though was rather grotty in comparison, but a nice change from the crazily crowded pattaya beach.

The location of the hotel itself is about 10 minutes from central Pattaya, which made for a good getaway from the crowd and craziness. However it did mean that there was no other way to get to town other than the shuttle or the tuktuk/taxi. That might pose a problem for the avid shopper, although at Pattaya prices, window shopping would be the most advisable. For me, I was looking for a place to escape the noise of the city yet have the option to go to town easily, and the Sheraton Pattaya did succeed in providing that.

Room Tip: if you're a pool person, get the pool access rooms. worth it!

There are many great resorts in Pattaya but few offer the getaway experience of Sheraton. Lush landscaping and matured trees contour the hillside resort, offering pockets after pockets of resort facilities and experiences.

My parents, my wife and I stayed in 2 adjoining sea view pavilions. The large 65sm pavilion is very well appointed to the extent that it seemed a shame to leave them and venture outside. When we finally managed to pull ourselves away from the pavilions, the meandering and shady walkways reveal the resort facilities one after another.

What the resort lacks in terms of a small beach was compensated by 3 free-form swimming pools and Jacuzzis. Matured landscaping of trees and plants provide a lot of privacy for sun bathers.

Buffet breakfast was extensive and came with outdoor food stations offering noodles and grilled sausages. We had dinner at Infinity, an outdoor restaurant with a fantastic sea view. An early dinner proved eventful as distant storm clouds darkened the evening sky and rain swept inshore as we dined. The rain stopped just as the sun begins to set. We were able to enjoy the changing colours of sunset.

Sheraton is a great resort for adults who want to get away from the busyness of Pattaya.

Stay for 1 night for weekend break from Bangkok.

Sheraton Pattaya is well located in the mountain between main pattaya and jomtien beach, so it has truly relaxation atmosphere with contemporary Thai style decoration in busy Pattaya. Room is a bit dated, but still comfortable with full of amenities. The pools are fabulous with great service staffs. Never try breakfast, but I would recommend Saturday night BBQ seafood buffet.

Overall, it is very nice place to relax in Pattaya rather than place for drink and fun.
