now have visited lek hotel buffet dinner again to check, unfortunately the quality of food is as before, planned so badly cooked you cant eat much, but worse they have now removed about one quarter of available dishes, still same price 250baht or 1800baht for ten tickets - a complete con job. observed cockroaches running around freely, when i informed staff, they just laughed. still for room, old part of hotel overlooking pool one of the best bargains in pattaya. also visited apex hotel to compare as before, - same prices for breakfast and dinner as lek hotel, same reduction in dishes, same quality of cooking of food yuk!!!! worse still the most miserable overseer of buffet dinner i have ever come across in twenty five years of buffet dining, every spoon of food you get from counter he gives you the.scowled look of THATS TOO MUCH

Room Tip: book early for the old building, rooms overlooking pool are quiet and have balcony and much cheaper...

Hi I have stayed here a few times, It is very handy for mainly single guys plenty of bars and clubs only short walk away and many Distractions also, Hotel itself is ok, cleaning staff are very nice and helpful, but Where did they get the Reception Staff, not a smile among them and I stayed there each time around 10 days ( why DID I stay there ......as I said I am single and it is handy), also when it is New Year the average room rate goes up appx twice the normal,( just like my country little rip off but what the heck). Would I stay there again ........yes I will just ignore the Reception Staff only deal with them as is needed.

I have stayed at the LEK Hotel many times over the years as the location is perfect..only a short stroll to the beach and central to bars , restuarants and shopping malls and the Baht busses go right past the door .They have a cheap buffet breakfast and dinner buffet near the pool. The rooms are a bit old but everything works and they are kept very clean by the efficient housekeeping staff .The reception staff are not exactly friendly but do their job very well ....I suppose the best part of this hotel is the secure feeling that you get when staying there due to the constant presence of police who park their motorbikes out the front and sit in the cool airconditioned foyer with their walky-talkys on waiting for their next job. No criminal is gonna come near this hotel !! I thoroughly recommend the LEK HOTEL Pattaya .

well located , this hotel also offers acceptable buffet breakfast but that's about it ; rooms are noisy and creepy , staff always seems happier if there were no customers ( actually , they are so busy chatting with one another that they would keep you waiting in front of them for 10 minutes or more before asking , reluctantly " can I help you ? " .
To be clear , it's better to cross the soi and just in front , you will find the Dynasty hotel , maybe THB 300 more per night but with a much better standard in all respects .

From the time you arrive to the time you leave you feel like your inconveniencing the staff by being there !

The staff here do not like Tourists and do not appreciate your business so with so many accommodating and friendly hotels available why would you stay there.

Oh and stay away from the food unless you have a desire for a stomach bug !

DINNER . they try to get you to buy 10 food tickets for 1,800 baht thats 180 baht each for dinner, whatever you do dont buy them try one night first, if you dare. you will findfood is cooked by experts, in a way that you wont eat muchI!!!!!. EXAMPLE- potatoes only quarter cooked, chicken always cold and old and something horrible added to it all other food so much spicy you cannot possibly eat it ,maybe thats to get you to order more inflated priced drinks . salad fly ridden but ok if you dont mind flies all over before you eat desert ,minimal pineapple and watermelon. sometimes sponge cake that has been squoshed so hard no cream is left in middle. tea so weak, coffee so yuk,, menu never changes.. staff so unfriendly, scouling all the time, like they are in slavery.. all in all give it a miss, go down road 150 metres to apex hotel, similar but they do change menu sometimes
.BREAKFAST. same again dont buy 10 tickets, try one first, left over from dinner last night is what you get for break fast. the worlds worst fried eggs always stone cold swamped in cold fat/grease .look at the staff putting stale bread out, do they wear gloves? of course not , dirty mongrels .salad same fly ridden as dinner, no bacon,no baked beans,, menu never changes, again food cooked by experts so you dont eat much. tea and coffee same as dinner - yuk. apex hotel has same but i have never been to there breakfast. i put up with that crap food (the absolute worst in pattaya by far) for two weeks because i bought the 10 ticket mealsI .dont have a bar of it.!!!!!!! hotel itself is good and cheap 600-1200bht a night and well run. dont book there the day before christmas, or new years eve, they slap on 1000 baht surcharge for more of that crappy food. give that food a wide birth BELIEVE ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: book early back of old building(quieter) 600-800 baht night with bacony overlooking pool.
