A very good location just steps away from the beach.
Money changer just outside the property .
7 eleven just 10 steps away.
Stay quality is poor as the rooms are old.

Breakfast is horrible for Pure veggies
The lifts are verrrrrry slow.

The hotel needs a renovation at the earliest .

The imposing look will make you day dream sequences where you are lolling about in the pool, ordering gala room service and the receptionist smiling at you. In reality, as you look around the waiting lounge, the receptionist will 'call' you 'here here, heloooo Sir'. Okay, so back to school moment! As usual you have to omit all the verbs in your sentence and continue with whatever remnant of your English in remaining in that sentence if you expect they should understand. Due to language barrier they will seem very rude and repetitive. The lift is crammed if a fifth person enters! Rooms are big, spacious and well designed with fantastic pool view. Get your LAN cable on rent along with your paid Wi-Fi service from reception. Breakfast buffet spread is sumptuous and diverse in combinations. AC may fail in your room. Do not depend on the technicians - they'll keep you awake all night but won't achieve anything. Demand room change or else a refund or whatever. It's gonna be a tough conversations anyway!

I stayed at the Royal Palace Hotel in July for 4 nights. It seems to be the sister hotel of the Royal Twins, in the same parking lot. Mostly it was a pleasant, if ordinary experience. In general, I expected more, but then again, the price was moderate.

Pros – The hotel has an excellent central location on Pattaya Two, 10 minutes from Walking Street, a block from the beach. Room is about same as advertised photos, has a good-size, comfortable bed, large frig. Cable tv has many, multilingual channels. I stayed in an upper floor standard room (#829), which had a balcony and good view of the ocean. Nice pool. Staff were pleasant and helpful. I paid a discounted, off-season price of 1400 baht w/o bkfst (200 baht more).

Cons –Wifi not free (100 baht/day); even worse, the login website that opens to set the password annoyingly reset all of my open tabs (about 30 tabs) in the Chrome browser to “login”, and continued to do so every time I restarted the computer.
Surprisingly for a hotel of this size (320 rooms), there is no exercise room.
“Non-smoking” room smelled. No in-room safe for valuables, only at front desk, which is inconvenient and time-consuming. Room has an electric kettle, but no cups or complimentary tea or coffee are provided. Room needs some maintenance (some electric outlets not work, bathroom door coming apart, etc.).

5 mins walk to beach. 10 mins walk to walking street. Near to local market and restaurants on 2nd road. Opposite to Ripley's.
We changed the hotel on our 1st day and found this one good. Took membership on same day of checkin and saved 300 bhats per room for 2 rooms.
Nice swimming pool and breakfast buffet. Thai dishes during dinner was also good and reasonable. We asked for vegetarian dishes and they cooked customized for us. Good reception area.
Rooms were also good and standard sized with balcony.

Nice looking hotel, nice rooms
But charged an additional 350Bhat fee on arrival to become a member. Not much in £ terms but a lot of money in Thailand, just a ripoff surcharge
Breakfast not great, a mostly inedible buffet

If there would have been a rating in which negative marking was allowed, then I would have given -10. I have never come across such a terrible hotel. Outside looks are very appealing and one falls for it. I saw the hotel on the networking and it looked good. But once inside, no courtesy, no service, very rude people on the counters.

The room rates are high in comparison with other better hotels
Breakfast quality was not good
I felt my money is the most important thing for hotel staff
There was a security man there that I thought I am in military camp, not in a hotel for vacation
Briefly you don't gain as you pay
