A-One The Royal Cruise Hotel
Ranked #48 of 456 Hotels in Pattaya
Reviewed July 18, 2013

My stay at A-One Royal Cruise was worth it. Excellent Location with very nice & accommodating staff.

I reached the hotel at 8:30 AM with my wife and my infant son.Although the standard check in is at 2 PM.They were more than understanding because we had a baby with us and did an early check in at 8:45 AM for us. Special Thanks to the Front Office Team for that.

I would love to come back to A-One Royal Cruise with my family.

We stayed in superior room of new wing for 2N/3D in mid of June 2013. Location of hotel is good, right on beach. Room was of decent size and clean. No view from the room. Bathroom fittings were quite old and need repair.

Main attractions like Tiffany's show and Central Festival mall are around 0.5 - 0.7 KM.

10 Baht bus you will get from street outside hotel.

Staff was not friendly.

I booked a 3D2N stay for my family of 6A3C through a tour coy.
We had paid extra for upg to this hotel. The condition of the rooms in so-called New Wings is a great disappointment. There are with old furniture & fittings though generally clean. But, to our horror, the walls between rooms & doors are so thin that we heard talking & toilet flushing in neighboring rooms! Never choose the new wings of this hotel. The main building & swimming pools are better.

A rating for this hotel is difficult to leave. Food and breakfast very good. Rooms are clean. The staff is very rude, opinionated. The hotel is central, therefore, also very, very loud. Rear part of the hotel is quiet. The accommodation is very expensive, only recommend as overnight place. Baden impossible, since all the boats leave from there at the hotel. The prices in the hotel (food, drinks, ect.) On the whole the hotel was ok. But for the price you could expect more. Here in Thailand you get equal room for half the price. The prices in the hotel are some 5 to 10 times as high as outside. eg one hour massage costs 200 outside Bath, and in the hotel it's 1800.

Thanks for your feedback, we are sorry about the staff attitude if they were rude, we always train our front office staff to help our customers in the best way, but with 465 rooms it is difficult to control each check-in. About the location, we have to mention we are in North Pattaya and the area is very quiet after 9 PM when the seafood buffet is finished. The more south you go in Pattaya the louder the nightlife. About the prices in the hotel we are a four star property and offer 4 star service. The Spa is a beauty treatment and health facility that have many packages done by trained experts. A normal Thai Massage you are talking about is not similar and we also offer this kind in the lobby for 300 THB/Hour.

We were desperate to enjoy nice seafood dinner and got attracted by the magnificent architecture of the Cruise-shape hotel and the panel writing "Seafood Buffet", we had a very unsatisfactory dinner.

We were expecting a variety of seafood in BBQ style but the fact was that there were only prawns and crab in BBQ style and that is all! Well, if they are in good enough quality and in buffet style, it is still fine we think as they are as well our favourite. But the fact was that they are not fresh at all. The texture is so bad, they were soft and tasted fishy.

We saw a lot of Chinese people come and go in roughly 30mins so we believed this buffet did a lot Chinese Tour Group. You can imagine then the quality cannot be too good if they are focusing on tour group.
It was not cheap, costing us THD800 per head! We definitely won't recommend this.

Location is a great asset here. It is located right on the beach, around 3 kms from walking street. Tuk-Tuk service is readily available on the main street so you will never face any issues here. The food here is decent, and room size is a bit small, but they are clean.
