As we could not book our usual hotel for this trip to Pattaya we researched the net (Trip Advisor) for inspiration. That is how we discovered what turns out to be the perfect place in Pattaya.
Nestled in the middle of the concrete jungle of Jomtien, lays the beautiful oasis of Rabbit Resort.
The resort comprises of beautiful two storey chalet style rooms.
Outside your room everything is green, full off colours and you can smell the aromas from the numerous flowers, shrubs and flowering trees. You hear the birds singing; see the squirrels playing and the call of Ung- Aang (a very interesting small frog with a huge voice). All of this makes you feel in perfect harmony with Mother Nature.
The resort somehow does not belong in this part of Thailand - whoever comes to Pattaya is used to the filth, the rotting food smells and the huge numbers of loud tourists. No uch thing at the Rabbit Resort.
The place is tranquil but only two minutes on the bat bus from the buzz of Walking Street and the many places one may want to visit.
Our room was pristine, spotless and beautiful with wooden carved furniture and decorations.
The maids made the bed every day like we were the most important guests ever (the orchid decorations on the bed were different every day).
In terms of the food - there is little to be said - the hotel provides a very, very good breakfast buffet, with a lot ot choice to accommodate every taste and a live station where you can place your order.to your taste . We also eat dinner in the hotel’s main restaurant a few times, which was also very good.
Mr. and Mrs Rabbit were very nice and attentive to their guests without being in their faces all the time.
One of the things that impressed us most was the way the staff at the hotel treated the guests - the famous Thai hospitality is experienced fully at the Rabbit Resort. Nothing is too much for them - you only have to ask once and everything happens before your eyes. Truly impressive and credit to the owners for managing to create such an atmosphere.
The thing I didn't like was the fact that we had to go home, but for me there is NO OTHER HOTEL in this part of Thailand that I will stay in - I am afraid I left smitten by Rabbit Resort.
Special thanks to Wendy, Noom and the restaurant chef ( sorry forgot his name)
Stayed in room 606 - beautiful and peaceful
