As we could not book our usual hotel for this trip to Pattaya we researched the net (Trip Advisor) for inspiration. That is how we discovered what turns out to be the perfect place in Pattaya.
Nestled in the middle of the concrete jungle of Jomtien, lays the beautiful oasis of Rabbit Resort.
The resort comprises of beautiful two storey chalet style rooms.
Outside your room everything is green, full off colours and you can smell the aromas from the numerous flowers, shrubs and flowering trees. You hear the birds singing; see the squirrels playing and the call of Ung- Aang (a very interesting small frog with a huge voice). All of this makes you feel in perfect harmony with Mother Nature.
The resort somehow does not belong in this part of Thailand - whoever comes to Pattaya is used to the filth, the rotting food smells and the huge numbers of loud tourists. No uch thing at the Rabbit Resort.
The place is tranquil but only two minutes on the bat bus from the buzz of Walking Street and the many places one may want to visit.
Our room was pristine, spotless and beautiful with wooden carved furniture and decorations.
The maids made the bed every day like we were the most important guests ever (the orchid decorations on the bed were different every day).
In terms of the food - there is little to be said - the hotel provides a very, very good breakfast buffet, with a lot ot choice to accommodate every taste and a live station where you can place your order.to your taste . We also eat dinner in the hotel’s main restaurant a few times, which was also very good.
Mr. and Mrs Rabbit were very nice and attentive to their guests without being in their faces all the time.
One of the things that impressed us most was the way the staff at the hotel treated the guests - the famous Thai hospitality is experienced fully at the Rabbit Resort. Nothing is too much for them - you only have to ask once and everything happens before your eyes. Truly impressive and credit to the owners for managing to create such an atmosphere.
The thing I didn't like was the fact that we had to go home, but for me there is NO OTHER HOTEL in this part of Thailand that I will stay in - I am afraid I left smitten by Rabbit Resort.
Special thanks to Wendy, Noom and the restaurant chef ( sorry forgot his name)
Stayed in room 606 - beautiful and peaceful

Hi Perfect Place! I liked your comment about concrete jungle versus a real jungle. That is what Rabbit Resort offers, a lush tropical forest with lots of lovely flowers, really big trees, birds, squirrels and natural environment. Thirteen years ago we planted the landscaping with no idea how big everything would become, wow it became really big and lush. Thanks for thinking of us and we loved having you both here. Cheers from Deborah, Mrs. Rabbit.

Besides the fact that the Rabbit Resort is a bit remote from central pattaya, (Some taxi drivers will refuse to drive to.) It’s a nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Their manger, Renee is there in the hotel every day morning to greet their guests. The hotel setting is a bit old as well. It’s almost time to renovate and reconstruct.

Dear Tranquil Kiwi - Thank you for writing. After looking at your review it appears that you really wanted an action packed step out the door, bar scene and disco environment. I am sorry we are not that type of hotel. We are quiet and relaxing. Yes, the action is easily accessible about 15 minutes but it does not impact our resort. Most guests appreciate this calmness. Also, our resort is designed as a Historic thai village located right on the ocean. We don't have chrome, glass or chandeliers. We feature reclaimed wood with Thai accents throughout. Thanks for staying with us - best wishes Deborah Mrs. Rabbit

Stayed at the Rabbit for the first time during Song Kran, and could not have been more pleased. The staff is amazingly welcoming, attentive and gracious. The location right on the beach and near town. There was quite a spread for breakfast and started the day perfectly. I highly recommend a stay at the Rabbit.

Dear Amazing Staff - thank you for your sweet comments. Many guests praise our staff for their kindness and caring. As mentioned previously most of our staff live here at the resort and have worked at Rabbit for 5-10 years. Another great thing is that their families grow up here. We have a few families with children in college and work part time at the resort. We truly believe in this family idea and give scholarships to the children of our staff members. Thank you so much for mentioning this in your review. Cheers and best bunny wishes - Deborah Mrs. Rabbit

My friends organized a celebratory trip to Thailand culminating with a stay at the Rabbit Resort. From the moment we arrived and walked through the lush gardens, to the beautifully appointed bungalows, the lovely little beach, the excellent buffet breakfast, and the cheerful staff nothing could have been better. I understand why my friends come back year after year and hope to visit again on my next trip to SE Asia.

I had been hearing about the Rabbit Resort from a dear friend for years and finally had an opportunity to experience all that it has to offer. It was everything I had imagined and more!!! I cannot say enough about the staff! Wendy and her team go above and beyond to ensure that you are taken care of, always anticipating your every need! And Mrs. Rabbit is a doll (and a wonderful singer) who definitely takes pride in her little oasis in Pattaya . . . she is always around, greeting and chatting with guests who often seem to be returnees. The rooms, grounds and pool areas are well kept and clean. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and delicious! The restaurant serves up tasty Thai dishes and the staff is extremely accommodating - on several occasions, I asked for dishes that were not on the menu and was treated to authentic Thai fare! As always, the week flew by even though i felt like I did nothing but lounge by the pool, get massages on the beach and eat . . . but then again, that's my kind of vacation! :)

Room Tip: For those travelers who have a little trouble walking, request a room near the pool by the reception...

i hesitate to write this review because i really don't want my favor places in the world to be over-run by tourists, but i wouldn't stay anywhere else should i be in the area again.

we were there for several nights last week on account of a dear dear friends's birthday celebration, a large group of us each made separate bookings at The Rabbit Resort. from booking to leaving, the experience was 5-star!

beautiful pools (2) with beautiful landscaping, we only went to the beach ONCE!

service was impeccable. staff was well trained. locale private & secured (we all had our villas). facility well maintained. breakfast was a variety of deliciousness. at the resort's restaurant, the food was simply fantastic - you can have anything you wish, and more.

and on top of all - price cannot be more reasonable!

enjoy.

Aloha Honolulu - Rabbit Resort really has great food. Thanks for writing about that. After 13 years we have designed an excellent breakfast buffet that is customized for each guest. If there is something special you need or want (like vegetarian) Chef will make it for you - just ask him, no problem. We are flexible and want to provide the best food choices for our guests. Restaurant News: We make each cup of coffee individually, not a pot. We have a very large organic garden where we grow many of our own vegetables. Plus, we have just added a wood burning pizza oven for crispy crust pizza. Best wishes and thanks again - Deborah Mrs. Rabbit
