well thats what i call a surprise in my exploration of thailand..this unique greek taverna just in the center of pattaya .least expected!!! i had my favorite pastitsio as i leaved in greece for 4 years and it was delicious..and only 180 baht and the portion was huge. i will be back for lamb and greek salad as i was full with the pastitsio. enjoy with greek music ,there was a man ,i think he was the owner ,that played for me "never on sunday" on his buzuki and i had a fabulus time. how nice to have a greek taverna in pattaya. i wish there was one in chiangmai where i plan to stay later on.

“Only the best Greek food in Pattaya!”
Reviewed February 17, 2014

We went here for dinner Friday, 14 Feb 2014. Valentine's Day! Our group of 4 ordered several items from the reasonably priced menu: mixed grill; "Gioulbasi" Kleftiko; pitta bread; and tzatziki. To top it all off, baklavas for dessert! Although it's our first time to Pattaya, we're happy with dining at Pattayanis Greek Taverna. My husband insisted we go here. Glad we did! Our friends were thoroughly impressed with the food. And, so was I!

We also appreciated the friendliness of the owner and his family. Even providing a little entertainment for all his patrons! He went to each table making sure everyone was happy with the food. Thank you Pattayanis Greek Taverna! When we come back to Pattaya, we certainly will stop by again!

“Love Greek food but this is average...”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

I am very surprised by the 5 star reviews because this establishment is far from being excellent. I have eaten in many Greek restaurants all over Greece and I can tell you, this one fails to deliver on taste.

I ordered 3 dishes, the Greek salad, the yemista (stuffed tomatoes/peppers) and the chicken souvlaki. The stuffed tomatoes/peppers were actually pretty good, so credit where credit is due. The chicken however was quite dry and tasteless, a really average dish.

The Greek salad could have been good however they did not use virgin olive oil! I find it hard to believe that any chef worth his salt would consider using anything less than virgin olive oil on salads. They are using a standard olive oil which lacks flavour for use as a condiment. I guess they are trying to save money, not good!

In summary this is an average restaurant serving average Greek food. It's a real shame there isn't good Greek food in Pattaya because it's one of my favourites. But then again you wouldn't go looking for good Thai food in Greece!

you didn't need to go to such an extent in order to minimise our success.just put a few bad words about the virginity of the oil we use and you are done!
you did forget to mention the real greek feta cheese on top of the greek salad ,the most expensive item in a salad. you did forget to mention the red tomatoes ,and not the ussuall thai yellow ones. but your insistance on virginity is embarassing us now as we dont know how to check it, we only know toxicity in which we are experts as we are oil producers our selfs. But you could always come back and critisize us on the virginity of the lamb too! or the waitress? critisism is always accepted ,it makes us better and that is a point of a review.but we received too much critisism, from you, on this vague motion of virgin oilive oil which nobody can prove. to put things right we use DODONI feta cheese (1100baht/kg) and ROMULO extra virgin oil (at 1150baht/kg) and anybody can ask the waitress to provide a sample of them other wise he gets a free meal on us.We are good and we are going to get better.Thank you.

“Poor quality Greek food”
Reviewed February 14, 2014

This place is in a pretty good location as it is close to the night life of Pattaya. Ok atmosphere and the waiting staff were polite despite my complaining about the food. I complained because I found the food to be below average. Second pressing olive oil for salads is how they do things here; fine for cooking but not for salads, so the salad tasted bad. The lamb was not too great either, it was dry and bland.

your first review was baned from this forum and you come back with an exact copy again.the freedom of the internet allows you to attack us for a second time with the exact same allegations ,that my staf confesed! to you that we use bad oil for salad. but you know whats funy? our staf serving the customers its ME my WIFE and her SISTER not speaking a word of english!!!all the reviewers in here they know this as we are a small greek authetik family taverna. So lets see,her sister is inocent ,as she can not even say hello while serving, Μe ?,propably not,my Wife then confessed to you?
i was looking for a reason to divorce her and this is a well damn reason ,taking you in her confidence revealing you the secrets of our bussines!!!
seriously the cost of olive oil in a greek salad is only 30grx1000 baht/kg=30 baht ,so a cheaper oil would save us maybe 6 bahts! while we are the only ones we use real greek feta at 1200 per kg and thats where we should economise.you have given us some bad time with your reviews but i bet we have given you hell because of our success. Να εισαι καλα αλλα με εκανες και γελασα αλλα η Τσαμπη τα εχει παρει στο κρανιο.χαχαα φιλακια χχχχ
