“Just deck chairs and umbrellas”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2012

We were told Jomtien beach was much better than Pattaya so booked an apartment there, very disappointed. The beach is very narrow in fact you cannot walk along the beach if the tide is in. Well you can if you want to go between the deckchairs. There are no sunbeds there or in Pattaya. We thought the beach was dirty and the sea uninviting.
We are comparing this with Hua Hin which has a beautiful beach.
We only stayed because we had paid for five days accommodation. We were glad to leave and we are now back in Hua Hin thank goodness.

“Beautiful vegetation - very dirty water and beach”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

Did anyone make an analysis of the water quality? I guess no, because the beach would be immediately closed to the visitors.
Actually, few people look bothered by the floating plastics, polystyreen, rubbers and other garbage.
The atmosphere is relaxed, the water quite tranquile, the beach shaded by a beautiful gardenline. Food, souvenirs, massage, escorts and much more available.

Quiet clean beach with nice sea front road with array of shops. Great to visit on a Pattaya trip. I found Windsurfing facilities there

“Lots of plastic!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2012

I didn't go swimming in the water, there is a fair amount of rubbish floating around (mostly plastic bags as the Thai's just seem to love them) and the family I was with had kids and they were stung a few times from sea lice.

That aside, chair and umbrella hire are available and drinks brought down to you are quite affordable and just a nice touch. You will be approached by local vendors selling food, offering toys and various other things such as henna tattoos, manicures and pedicures. They are generally not offended if you say no but lets face it, if you can afford to support the local people, you should! Thai people are very friendly and you feel like a king or Queen with the attention that you are given. Lovely little spot and werll worth stopping for a few beers and a relax on the beach if you've got the time whilst in Pattaya.
