This Temple is all hand carved out of wood. They have been building it for 25 years and it's still no-where finished. You can watch them carving the wood for it. You must see it to take in this beautiful Temple. You can also go on the elephants and feed them. Lovely view from the walls, over looking the sea.

The whole temple is made solely out of wood! Amazing sight and just amazing seeing the craftsmen painstakingly carving out the intricate designs on wood. You have to use a safety helmet though if you wanna go inside the temple as construction works are ongoing.

My husband and I are not really temple people. We came to Thailand to play golf but someone recommended a trip here and having done so would have been extremely disappointed if we had missed seeing this wonderful structure. It was definitely advantageous to use the services of an English speaking guide and the cost was discretionary. Lots of information is given about each section of the temple and what each section represents. Just a walk in is amazing but to get the knowledge is so much better. This is a must see in our opinion. Just awesome.

It's truely beautiful from outside. Walk to inside I was so stunned with the big pieces of wood, very very HUGE. All pieces of wood are combined with no nail. A guide said it's not yet finish, though it's builted for 30 years and the project is still continue.
