i have gone to Tikka Center three times now and every time the food was excellent. it is a very small unassuming shop house eatery in the heart of the nightlife on Soi Bua Kao and although it is not a trendy looking place there are always people in there eating. i have eaten the Lamb Rogan Josh, Lamb Masala, and the Lamb Korma. the amount of lamb surprised me for the price, and it tender. all three dishes, eaten on three different occasions, had no fatty or inedible pieces of meat. for me it is the sauces that really makes this place stand out. whoever is cooking this food has a gentle touch, knows the nuances of the cuisine, and seems to take a lot of care in preparing these dishes fresh. i have had Garlic Nan each time and the bread is always cooked well, the Garlic flavor is present but not overbearing, and the bread is brushed with Ghee before serivng and it is the perfect vehicle for the sauce. i washed it all down with Sweet Lassi and this too was perfected prepared. each meal was sensibly priced and the portions are more than big enough for the price range. the service is good, fast and attentive. English is spoken and communicating when ordering is not a problem. the place although it is not a designers dream, is clean and sanitary. this is a place you go to have fantastic food, not to impress someone with the decor. after all, its all about the food, sin;t it?
