Visited this property with Family and friends between the 22nd and 26th of May 2013. My worst hotel experience ever. Once we reached the property we where welcomed by three receptionist who did not follow the English Language. Our stay for 3 nights where equivalent to serving a penance.

It all began with ordering breakfast, Room service came down to serve us and would not leave till we paid in cash and we had to oblige. If the guests wished to order room service a telephonic call would not be enough, you had to walk down to the restaurant and play 'dumb sheraz'. Every morning at 10:30 am the breakfast served at the restaurant would end. The staff would make it evident that you are no more welcomed by switching off the Air Conditioners and opening all doors so that you are unable to bare the heat. ( An extremely polite way of putting your message "GET OUT" across) The cherry on the cake being... we wanted to try out a German restaurant one night and we got our food in take away containers to our rooms. So as usual I marched for half a mile to the restaurant and asked for the necessary cutlery so as to enable us to eat. To my utter surprise I was shown where the cutlery was kept and indicated to carry the same all by myself to the rooms. Never in my life have I come across a hotel so thoroughly unprofessional and rude.

The House keeping service was no better, in spite of our valiant attempts we could not arrange for a bucket to bathe my infant son. Every time you needed to approach some one from the House Keeping you were ready to play 'Sherlock Holmes'. Search the entire property and based on the evidence of the house keeping cart get hold of the housekeeping staff and play 'dumb sheraz'. The request for an extra towel was not entertained. The staff was thoroughly inconsiderate and did not co-operate neither did the have the slightest will to help. This is the worst experience I have ever had as far as hotels are concerned. This was a self service hotel not only did you need to collect your towels for the pool but also return the same as otherwise the house keeping would go to the extend of throwing an ill temper.

In the light of the above, it is MY opinion that the Staff at the hotel have no connection with the Hospitality Industry, nor have they been given lessons on basic etiquette and the way to treat and deal with guests especially Indian Nationals. Seems that Make My Trip has high commission rate on this hotel as it suggests this property in-spite of not having too many positive reviews. It was a forgettable experience and would not recommend any one to this ill managed Hotel . I would have rated this hotel below terrible but unfortunately Trip Advisor does not have that option. I REPEAT unless you want to spoil you vacation do not even go in close vicinity of this pathetically substandard hotel

Room Tip: Simply avoid this hotel unless you are well-conversant with the Thai language and a staunch believer of self service;alternatively you might enjoy this property if you are good with and/or enjoy playing 'Dumb Sheraz and Hide and Seek'.....

I had Stayed in this hotel booked through make my trip package how ever its considered as a 3 Star hotel which is below average the staff and the house keeping is arrogant specially to indian nationality, the rooms are average nothing special i would say i will never come back to this place again if you have good money to spend on a vacation then look forward for some thing better for a 3 star rated standard hotel you will surely enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: no advice any rooms you check in the service you get will be the same

Sunshine Garden Resort is situated at Dolphin square- one radial road with a 10 mts, walk takes you to the beach, another radial road with 10 mts -15 mts of walk takes you to famous Alcazar, Tiffany shows, third radial walk, starts with a wonderful Supermarket, exhibiting wide variety of things for a neat price in air-conditioned comfort. Hotel location is a plus point, rooms are comfortable, swimming pool was neat, clean and well-equipped. Breakfast was good, but menu was same for all the three days, with minimal change.

Room Tip: Cottages are very cozy and better than rooms

Just stayed two nights from 23rd and 24th April. The hotel is very close to, 5 mins walking from the beach, close to Tiffany show and well sprawled over. It has nice landscaping, fountains in the entrance, colorful fishes in the ponds. Clean and big swimming pool. Room are spacious and clean. Staff are not very cooperative to Indian tourists, a developing culture in Thailand. "Atithi Devo Bhava" is only for white skin. Breakfast is good. Close by I found a very good Mumbai Magic Indian Restaurant. Lots of comfortable waiting area. Dining room is both indoor and outdoor. Breakfast was great.
I will definitely recommend and come back again.

Room Tip: The first floor rooms oversees the swimming pool and have better view.
