Returning again to Royal Cliff its so nice to see so many staff who remember us from previous visits.Their curtisy and friendlines ranks to us the best we have ever expirienced.
We love the Panorarma Resturant for breakfast it is a buzz such a choice and well run by the
resturant manager.
Our favorite is Brezzio the resturant right on the beach shore fabulous for a relaxing drink or meal looking across the bay to Kolarn Island.
The nicest touch was a a trolley delivered to our room on my wifes birthday containing a beautiful display of flowers and a biurthday cake.
We enjoyed the club lounge its nice and peaceful to catch up on the news or send a few E mails. We look forward to returning again.

Room Tip: 9th floor is good near club lounge

Pattaya would not be our destination of choice, however, the Royal Cliff Grand transports you into a different world far away from some of the less savoury aspects of the place. There are four hotels here, the Beach, the Beach Terrace, the Grand and the Royal Wing. The first two are more family choices, The Grand slightly more sophisticated and formal and the Royal Wing far more expensive.
We have stayed twice at The Grand and it really is the most welcoming, lovely hotel - nothing is too much trouble for the fabulous staff, and every employee you encounter has a smile and a greeting. Special thanks to the lady at guest services who helped my husband translate some of a speech into Thai, then coached him with the pronunciation! We were upgraded to a fabulous room, with enormous bath and separate wet room, lovely balcony with 2 sun loungers and outdoor shower. The pool was never crowded, there are separate ones for each hotel, and again the helpfulness of the staff was exemplary.
All the food in the restaurants was great but we particulary liked the Chinese restaurant, the Chrysanthemum, the food was fabulous and again the staff brilliant - in fact it was so good we ate there twice.
Cars were arranged very quickly and efficiently with courteous, good drivers.
The spa was fabulous and the hairdressing salon did a blow dry much quicker and better than many a London salon.
Great hotel......shame about the place!

We stayed two nights in the hotel, so this review must be a little superficial, but our room was very comfortable and clean.

The loungers on our 10th floor balcony were a pleasent surprise: It was fun to lie out there after supper in the hot, dark nights, before retreating to the icy comfort of our air conditioned bedroom. (If you pull them right to the back of the balcony you can enjoy a little privacy.)

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was good.

The only regret I have - and it has nothing to do with the hotel - is that Pattaya is an unattractive town that fails to capitalise properly on being at the seaside ...

The Hotel facilities provides for all types of families and their needs. I am partially disabled (for now) and thus my wife (Thai) had easy access to pools and facilities. Our room had a large veranda with absolute sea views from Pattaya to the offshore islands. The veranda was breezy and thus provided comfort during the days and evenings. The staff were friendly and the facilities did truly provide for wheelchair access for self. One would not enjoy better food anywhere in Oattaya.

This is a great getaway place for a break. Close to Bangkok, it offers a relaxing atmosphere and great customer service. Every staff person with whom we spoke was friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the restaurants to the pool side lifeguards and serving staff. The restaurants all offered excellent food. We tried the Saturday evening BBQ which was fabulous with lots of fresh and bbq'd seafood, chicken, pork and endless salads and sides. Rossini's, Grill Room and Caprice restaurants all offered great set and a la carte menus. Every meal we enjoyed was tasty and beautifully presented. The views from the room and the pool areas are lovely. Very well equipped fitness room and nice looking tennis courts. The spa is fabulous. I highly recommend the Thai massage outdoor on the patio late in the day as the sun is going down. The room furnishings are a little dated but spotlessly clean. The beds are firm but do not have any pillow top so perhaps for some a little uncomfortable. The breakfast room staff are overworked and stressed and therefore the quality of service is suffering there.

Having travelled extensively in Thailand over the years my fiancee and I decided to push the boat out and try the Royal Cliff Grand.
From the point of arrival on check in for out Club Sea View room we were made to feel like second class citizens. We had booked bed and breakfast. The check in consisted of a very quick swipe of my credit card followed by ' Sir you are booked room only'. This I explained was not the booking but it went on and on as though it would never end. What a start to a 5 star stay. Finally they checked my booking and agreed breakfast was included. At this stage I felt like just checking out and into a friendly hotel that was not just concerned in what they could get rather than what they can give.
Room had a phone ringing for the floor maid constantly right outside our door which I had to answer at 7am onwards as nobody else was there to do it.
They have quality tv such as movies and Premier league football only in the foyer of their sister hotel and when I went it was staring room only stood up by a pillar with no facility for drinks etc.
I have stayed in hotels of one quarter the price of this one and had fantastic service and a great time.
This is the 2nd time in my life I have ever written a review , that is how strong I feel about the disappointment my fiancée and I felt about our stay there .
Look elsewhere is my advice...

I stayed for the 3 time at Royal Cliff. 2 times for business 1 time for holiday.
This hotel is fantastic and the rooms with balconies overlooking the ocean have a great view and calming effect in stressy days. The entire hotel staff was courteous and very helpful, especially Weenita Vallee who speaks perfect French and English. I would definitely recommend this place for a business as well as for a relax vacation. The breakfast buffets were great and included a wide variety.

When I come back to Pattaya I will stay again in this great hotel.
