I stayed for 4 nights
Pros
Great air con, central location, value for money, reasonable sized and clean room, complimentary coffee & water, friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks at bar, comfortable bed, quiet, good curtains to make room dark if required
Cons
No elevator (4 levels including ground), steps from top floors have a steep gradient (have to concentrate when walking down), have to log onto internet every time go out of range), pool area lacks atmoshere with hardly anyone using the facilities.

I stayed at the Ganymede in Jontiem beach area for 4 nights after spending a few nights in the more lively South Pattaya. I had originally booked 3 but decided to stay put rather than going back to Bangkok for one night.

I really enjoyed my stay at Ganymede, which just opened in 2012. I had a spacious room in the back, the bed is huge. It has most features one needs-fridge, safe, hot water pot, TV, etc. The only think I didn't like was the smallish bathrooms--the toilet is located right in front of the sink. It seems strange to have such small bathrooms when the bedroom is so large.

The staff were very friendly had helpful, as was the manager, who was on the premises 24/7.
The swimming pool is a very nice and new and I used it (and the adjacent spa) a few times during my stay.

I had researched my stay in Pattaya well and was keen to see what Ganymede was all about. I wanted a clean, quiet and good value place to stay. Clean - yes although the maid tended to leave things in the room. No hot water for the duration of my stay,TV reception poor, A/C too cold all in all the hotel still feels unfinished. The price was ok, so I chose not to make a big issue about the above. However, the pool area was advertised as being complete in the middle of November - I stayed for the first part of December and the pool is still incomplete and there was still noise to contend with. OK, great to see development in this area of Pattaya but come on Ganymede management - be open and honest with people. It has the potential to be a great place. The Karaoke was not open, sauna closed - a real shame. I hope the hotel gets finished and does well. I'll probably opt for somewhere else next visit - Jomtien complex isnt really my bag...

Room tip: The rooms are clean, fresh and basic. (superior room)

We stayed three nights in suite room and it was value for money . Clean comfortable, fresh linen and all modern conveniences including lift to our room on third floor. It is a party area and noise was reasonable settling by midnight Breakfast only so so.. Stewart the manager was most helpful and gave quick response to every request. WiFi only so so and needed to come down to foyer area.. Kom gave a good authentic Thai massage and although boys were there to do anything you wanted it was very safe if you chose not to be involved in any of their activities which other guests reported were fabulous... Swimming pool really great...

Room tip: Request above reception if you need a lift as stairs in other areas.

Stayed in October 2012 and unlucky enough to encounter renovations which meant the sauna was closed but still had an amazing time. The rooms are huge, even by thai standards and the staff are friendly and incredibly helpful. Aimed promarily at the Gay market but straight friendly this is central to the Jomtien area of Pattaya and has a bar, spa pools, sauna and karaoke lounge. While it is surrounded by good cheap restaurants the breakfast at this hotel is a great way to start the day and very varied. The best point of this place though has to be the staff. They manage to make this feel almost like home. Big hugs to all my friends there

Room tip: Relax and enjoy the atmosphere
